 IA Academy Transfer Update Part 2 25/07 - The allure of working with newly installed Swansea manager Michael Laudrup was more than enough for Oscar Hult to join Swansea. Hult stated that he was eager to get down to business at the Liberty stadium and hoped he would be starring in the first team soon. 27/07 - A week after turning down moves to Norwich City, Bolton Wanderers and Hull City Almighty God decided that Burnley was the club for him having been impressed by the local support shown for the club during their tenure in the top flight a few years ago. The new recruit hopes to impress his new manager and help push Burnley back into the Premier League. 28/07 - Two more Academy graduates are heading to the Championship today as Matt Burn turned down several clubs ,including the chance to join fellow graduate Ash Harbin at Blackpool, to sign for Watford while the first of our Australian graduates decided to join promotion favourites Cardiff City and so may soon be plying his trade in the top flight. -------------------  | |

IA Academy Transfer Update Part 3 - Oh and a few debuts 29/07 - Phelix Brown - After taking two weeks to make his final decision, Phelix chose West Brom over Premier League QPR and Championship sides Leicester and Leeds. The gamble to go for a Premier League side may pay off for Phelix in the end or he may just become another talented young player stockpiled in the reserve teams of top flight sides. 30/07 - Andres Martinez - Following fellow graduate Busi into La Liga, Andres Martinez has today rejected moves to Pumas and Monterrey to join Spanish side Mallorca. Martinez is said to be happy to pay in the same league as fellow countryman Radamel Falcao. 31/07 - Arwel Thomas - A very surprising move here as Arwel Thomas turns down not just Premier League side Wigan Athletic but Scottish Premier League Champions Celtic as he moves to Wolverhampton Wanderers, perhaps expecting more playing time with the Championship club Arwel will have made the right move in the long term. 05/08 - Per Lindholm - Our fourth moves this time round and it's Per Lindholm who turns down moves abroad to stay in his native Sweden with IFK Norrkorping. Whether Per will one day make the transition to a bigger league or whether he will always want to stay in his homeland is unknown but with the Swedish season already underway Lindholm is expected to go straight into the starting line-up. Debutants 11/08 - Per Lindholm - As expected Per Lindholm was utilised immediately by IFK Norrkoping as he was fielded for the full match in the clubs 0-0 draw with Goteborg. Lindholm was solid throughout the game making 5 key tackles for his new time and helping to ensure they kept the clean sheet. 15/08 - Almighty God - Arwel Thomas - The first round of the Capital One Cup gave two of our graduates a chance to make their debuts for their new clubs. Almighty God helped himself to a goal as his new side beat Morecambe 3-0 in the cup, he will now hope to break into the first team squad in the league. Arwel Thomas got off to an equally good start with his new club as the influential young midfielder aided his side to a 4-1 win over Barnet by providing two assists for his new team mates. 18/08 - Oscar Hult - Ravi Parmar - Matt Burn - Simon Andersson - Oscar Hult made his Premier League debut providing an assist for Swansea today in a crushing 4-1 win over fellow Academy graduate Ravi Parmar's side Sunderland, although Parmar was not in the squad beaten by Hult's Swansea he will no doubt want to avenge this defeat in any future meetings. Matt Burn played a full 90 minutes on his debut for new club Watford as they met Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers in a tight match that ended 2-2 in the end. The left back had a solid game but will hope to help his team build on this decent result in the coming season. Also featuring today was Simon Andersson the new Mainz striker, he came on in the Second half for Mainz in a surprise 3-0 win over Werder Bremen. Even more outstanding is that Andersson scored on his debut to become the youngest ever goalscorer for his new club. The future must be bright for Andersson as he starts his career by breaking records. 22/08 - Ash Harbin - Kirk Mackintosh - With fellow graduate Ash Harbin watching on from the bench, Kirk Mackintosh made his start for Cardiff City against Blackpool in a 3-0 win for the Welsh side as the Australian striker grabbed a goal and an assist in his first start for the club. 25/08 - Ravi Parmar - Perhaps spurred on by the 4-1 loss to Swansea, Sunderland Manager Martin O'neil made several changes to his first XI including giving a debut to Ravi Parmar, he managed two assists in a 3-0 win over Reading. 28/08 - Ash Harbin - 14 minutes into their league match with Hull the Blackpool keeper picks up an injury giving Ash Harbin his first game for the club. In the end Harbin conceded 1 goal in a 2-2 draw but with the injury to first choice keeper Matt Gilks, Harbin will be featuring over the coming games for Blackpool.
