 June 2015 Update Bundesliga  Simon Andersson - Our Bundesliga representative did us proud this year as he found the net 19 times for his team Mainz in 35 starts for the club. He was also able to contribute 3 assists in 2 man of the match performances has led to the striker being heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the summer. Championship  Ash Harbin - In what has been a breakthrough season for Harbin he will have been upset to miss the conclusion after picking up a few injuries during the year but he will no doubt he happy with the 32 games he did manage for Blackpool keeping 9 clean sheets for the club and conceding only 38 for the Championship strugglers. Ash has since attracted the interest of Scottish Champions and a move for the young keeper is expected in the summer. Matt Burn - Another huge season for tackles as Matt Burn makes 143 this year in 37 first team games, 11 of which he was nominated for the man of the match award - no doubt in part this was down to the 12 assists he helped to create for his team throughout the season before his year was ended prematurely through injury, Oscar Hult - Dropping down to the Championship for a season has done Oscar the world of good as he has put in some scintilating performances this season, scoring 8 goals and laying on 11 more for his team from the left wing he has impressed in his 52 games for the club and has earned himself 3 man of the match awards in the process while providing 63 crosses for his team as they romped to the title but after turning down a contract recently he has been linked with a move away. Luis Morales - The newly installed Championship player of the year Morlaes has had quite the season for club and country as he has scored 23 goals after moving to the English leagues while also providing 9 assists in 14!! man of the match performances. There is no doubt that Luis can make the step up to the Premier League next season but there is doubt as to whether he will be making that step up with Swansea. Premiership  Nathan Holmes - Holmes has settled into life at the hawthorns rather well after leaving Huddersfield in the January window it was rumoured that Holmes might not be able to make the step up to the West Brom first team but he has gone on to make 21 appearances for them this season performing well as he grabbed 2 goals and was on hand to set up 7 more for his team as they narrowly missed out on 4th place. Phelix Brown - Zero, the number of appearances Phelix has made for the first team since making the switch to Chelsea in the summer. Per Lindholm - Lindholm was an everpresent for this overachieving West Brom making 23 appearances for the club in which he made an impressive 109 tackles as he became the midfield destroyer the club has lacked recently but it was all brought to an untimely end as he was ruled out with a long term injury. Arwel Thomas - Another impressive season for the Welsh Xavi as he put in a string of dazzling performances in the Wolves midfield creating a lot of chances for his team, 8 of which they managed to convert, and never letting his pass completion slip under 87% (joint Academy best) but he will have been disappointed to pick up so many niggling injuries that in the end limited his appearances to just 27 for the season. Almighty God - The young Burnley striker fired his team to the Capital One Cup final this year as he smashed in 28 goals for his team in a massive 45 appearances for the club who pretty much ran him into the ground this season. He also added to his teams goal total with 9 assists in a huge 13 man of the match appearances that will surely see him go down in legend at Burnley as he even kept his pass completion at 81% which is unheard of for a striker. Ravi Parmar - Parmar continued his award winning twelve months this season as he returned to the Premier League with a vengeance, making sure his team would not suffer the ignominy of relegation again with 14 goals and 8 assists from the bright midfielder in 37 games for his beloved Sunderland. If Parmar was to leave the north it would surely take a huge sum of money to convince the black cats to sell who provided them with 14 man of the match performances this season. Andres Martinez - He may not score in the Bundesliga but Martinez this season has proved that he certainly can score in the top flight as he found the net 18 times for Sunderland this term while also providing 8 assists that has led to such a good season for his English club after the turmoil he suffered in Augsburg. La Liga  Busi - Busi has really found some form for Los Beticos this season bagging himself 10 goals in just 36 starts for the club and he has really begun to pull the strings in the midfield setting up 10 more goals for his team mates to convert earning him 7 man of the match awards and surely it won't be long before he makes a move to a larger club whether it be in Spain or perhaps he will make the move abroad. Sergei Dravinski - Arwel Thomas - Arwel Thomas has a rival to his King of passing status as Sergei this season matched the Welshman in pass completion with a terrific 87% of his passes finding their intended targets in an other wise disappointing season for the Croatia as he made just 16 appearances for the club after sustaining two very serious injuries. He was however given a new contract by Elche in a bid to hold onto their star player for years to come. Liga Adelante  Waka - Waka clearly enjoyed his time in the Adelante this season sliding home 11 goals for his team while finding his team mates with 8 wonderful passes to add more to the goal tally. With 8 man of the match awards for the season the Somalian has been attracting the interest of several clubs around Europe and is unlikely to feature in the relegation battle for Levante next year. Ligue 1 Kirk Mackintosh - PSG spent a lot of money to bring the cultured Australian striker to Ligue 1 and he did not fail them scoring 8 goals in just 12 appearances for the French outfit setting up 3 assists in the process, Things look bright for Mackintosh in France and he has clearly not been set back by the move to such a large club and it seems that the Championship will miss having such an exciting player among it's ranks. Summer 2015 Transfer Update   Catalan Giants move for Jonathan Waka - Levante did not want to let him go but when Barcelona come calling there's not much you can do about it and the Ambitious Somalian was never likely to turn down the move to a club such as Barcelona. Whether he will get games there is another thing but Waka has the Ego to play at a big club without feeling over awed so the man said to have an ego bigger than Zlatan now commands a transfer fee of 23m which will do nothing to lower his self confidence.  Tottenham grab two in 40m raid of the Premier League Almighty God - A year a go God proclaimed his love for Burnley and convinced us all that he would never want to leave but here we sit now after he has signed for Tottenham in a deal worth an estimated £35m to the small northern club that he kept in the league with his goals last season. God will no doubt relish the chance of playing for a club the size of Spurs and will want to team up with his new partner in crime: Simon Andersson - Why buy one IA Academy striker when you can have two, Tottenham have completely revamped their strikeforce this summer and will now be the scourge of the Premier League as teams will no doubt fear what is likely to be a deadly combination between Simon and his more expensive counterpart.  Arsenal go all out for a Columbian Andres Martinez - Not to be out done by their North London rivals Arsenal now have their own IA Academy striker on the books after making a £34m move to sign the Columbian international from Sunderland, Martinez has now become the record signing for Arsenal and did not have the best of games for the club as he made his debut against Wolves shortly after signing. ------------------- | |
