Boom! That's how you make an impression Shame I never got to win the title there (or anything for that matter) but I noticed it says I was the top goalscorer currently. Any chance I can see my stats for the first half of the season?
Wasen great to be here Maybe now we can get promoted and challenge in the league!
Devastated that injury has prevented me from heading to Atlético :< Could you imagine me and Falcao in the same team!? La Liga Champions for sure ;D Hopefully there will still be interest in me when I recover from injury, Elche is just a stepping stone...
Simon Andersson - Andersson has started living up to his early promise this season as he put in a number of fine displays scoring 14 goals in 23 starts but once again he refuses to pass to team mates and has 0 assists so far this season but that has not stopped him from claiming 2 man of the match awards and attracting the interest of Schalke.
Championship
Ash Harbin - After two season spent warming the bench at Bloomfield road Harbin has seemingly forced Gilks from the first team and has made 30 starts so far this season for Blackpool pulling off 9 clean sheets and earning himself 2 man of the match awards as he maintains and average rating of 7.03. One downside is that the next Ben Foster has had a few injuries, the latest of which could see him miss an important game for the club.
Kirk Mackintosh - Ash Harbin - Once again Kirk has won the Asian player of the year award after Captaining his country in the Asian Cup this year for Australia (more on that at the bottom of the page) but he has also been in great form for Cardiff scoring 17 goals and providing 7 assists in 28 games for the club while at the same time earning 11 man of the match awards. It was always going to be hard for the bluebirds to keep hold of him but Mackintosh himself has made that next to impossible for the club now.
Matt Burn - Linked with a move away in the summer, it now looks like it won't be too much longer before Burn makes the step up to a higher level. He has been everpresent for Watford this season making 29 starts and 1 substitute appearance and has put in a massive 111 tackles so far this season and has contributed to the attack with 9 assists that have earned the left back and outstanding 8 man of the match awards.
Nathan Holmes - 3 goals and 7 assists in 26 games for Huddersfield has left Nathan Holmes in the spotlight at the moment as he has been linked with several moves away to clubs in the Premiership and it surely won't belong before offers are made for the youngster who has kept Huddersfield's midfield moving so far this year.
Oscar Hult - After finishing bottom of the Premiership last season Hult has done well to start this season in such good form for the league leaders Swansea. Grabbing 6 goals and providing 5 more for his team mates in 39 starts including a man of the match performance he will surely attract the interest of clubs in the top division soon. He will need to make better use of his passing range to increase his completion percentage from 64% as the season goes on but on the whole he will be pleased by his form.
Luis Morales - Morales left Malmo last summer to fight for a chance to play in the Premier League next season and so far it is going to plan for the Panama Captain as he has thrilled his new fans at the Liberty Stadium this season earning 10 man of the match awards thanks to the 9 assists and 17 goals he has scored so far. Morales also led his country in the Copa Centro America this year (more on that below)
Premiership
Phelix Brown - A managerial change at the hawthorns in the summer with Steve Clarke losing his job has meant that Phelix has finally been given his chance to perform for West Brom and perform he has with 2 goals and 3 assists from the left winger in 18 starts has meant that West Brom were quick to move and sign him up to a new deal.
Per Lindholm - After looking likely to leave the club in the summer Per has just put his name onto a new deal that will keep him at the hawthorns until 2019 after featuring in 20 games so far this year making 93 tackles for the club as he was finally given the chance to showcase his talents after the previous manager was dismissed in the summer.
Arwel Thomas - The Academies very own king of passing Arwel has once again kept his completions high, this time managing to get 86% of his passes to the intended recipient, he has also helped his team out by making 33 tackles across 16 games and would have feature in more if he had managed to stay injury free this season.
Almighty God - God has not stopped scoring since the start of the season for Burnley as he has found the back of the net 23 times in just 32 games for the club that have really started to lean on their young striker who has provided them with 11 man of the match appearances and who recently announced that he has no intention of leaving his beloved Burnley any time soon as they prepare to face Manchester City in the final of the Capital One Cup.
Ravi Parmar - The scorer of the winning goal for England in the World Cup final has continued his fine form into the season for Sunderland and he will be hopeful of avoiding the drop after scoring 9 goals and laying on 6 assists for his team mates so far this season giving him not only 10 man of the match awards but also winning him the honour of being the European Golden Boy. He's still a dirty little get though as he has made 58 fouls so far this season and doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon.
Andres Martinez - Since moving to Sunderland last season Andres has found scoring goals much easier than during his time in the Bundesliga, he has kept that up so far this season as he has found the net on 14 occassions and also aided his team with 4 assists. He will want to keep his level of performance up not only to keep Sunderland in the Premier League but to try and win the Copa America this summer with Columbia.
La Liga
Busi - The Los Beticos midfield has started the season well with 8 goals to his name and a further 6 in assists after 24 games for the club earning himself 4 man of the match awards. The younger brother of Sergio Busquets he still needs to become more comfortable on the ball or move to a team who put more emphasis on taking care of the ball as his pass completion of 66% from a midfielder leaves much to be desired.
Sergei Dravinski - Dravinski had his move to Atletico in the summer disrupted by a hip injury that kept him out for the start of the season and unfortunately after being rushed back to fitness and straight into the first team Sergei broke down upon his return with another long term injury. The injuries have limited him to just 6 starts this season scoring 1 goal, making 25 tackles and earning 2 man of the match awards while still completing 85% of his passes,
Liga Adelante
Waka - Waka did not abandon his club in the summer and instead remained to try and drive Levante back into La Liga but after spending most of the season in mid table it appears Waka has finally lost patience with the clubs lack of ambition . If Waka does leave then Levante will lose a player who has scored 5 goals and set 2 more up for the struggling club in his 19 games so far this season as he has maintained a pass completion of 81% despite playing in the Adelante.
2015 Asian Cup and Copa Centro America
Asian Cup
Australia
The Academy was represented by both Phelix Brown and Kirk Mackintosh playing for Australia at this years Asian Cup with both players showing some great form for their country in the competition. They opened up their campaign against Oman with Kirk quick to show his talent he scored in the win before a disappointing draw with Saudi Arabia left them needing a win to get out of the group. Their opponents, Qatar, were no match for them as the new Australia Captain opened the scoring in an easy win to see them progress to the next round.
Australia were forced into extra time but their weaker opponents in Syria which was always going to leave the Aussie team tired for their next game in which they were taken apart by South Korea in the Semi Final as even a late consolation goal from Mackintosh was not enough to save them. Some honour was restored as a brace from Kirk in the third placed playoff helped to see off the Iranian team but not making the final will be upsetting to the Australian team.
Panama once again showed their superiority in the second round as they took out a brave Guatemalan team easily with a goal from the Captain Morales sealing the win. They then had to beat the team who battered them in the group and after taking them to penalties Panama tried to stop Costa Rica from winning their third Central America Cup in a row.
Phelix Brown - As soon as the ink was dry on the signing of Nathan Holmes, West Brom cashed in on their in demand left winger Phelix Brown as he makes the switch to league leaders Chelsea turning down offers from Real Madrid and Juventus to complete the deal thought to be around 9m.
