It's an Ice-typed wolf Pokemon. I used Arcanine, Regice, Houndoom, Abomasnow, Lapras and Heatmor's colours.

First sprite in months. I don't like it much, but it was the best (and only) idea I got.

Fine with me, I'll make the next round a retype round if you guys want. I rather like retypes anyway, maybe I'll actually enter next round.

Theoretically yes, but with the holidays, and chrome rejecting the neoForums (I know it isn't just me) making it difficult to access these pages, judging might be a few days late.

Well, I got "attacked" when I snuck through on IE a few minutes ago, so I'm not sure what's going on. Either way, I'm not expecting judging right away. Whether or not there's really something here, it might scare our judges. You can still practice on your own for a bit though C;

Judging

Whoo, enough of that. Let's get some judging done. Technically the round was to fuse 3 Fire and 3 Ice types, but if you only had 3 Pokemon total then I gave you a pass.

[A+] It always amazes me when I see a sprite that can jam four Pokemon into one tiny fusion. To be fair, the Torchic and Delibird influence come through more than the Growlithe and Froslass, so it's not strictly a 25/25/25/25 fusion, but everything is fused so well... Interestingly, even though it isn't an even fusion of all four Pokemon, there's an equal amount of Torchic/Delibird and an equal amount of Growlithe/Froslass that it still seems... symmetrical? I suppose that's one way to put it. Regardless, it's adorable and fused well.

[B] Making a good fusion can be tricky when you have to work with so many Pokemon. Your sprite falls victim to too much clutter. There's simply a lot of extra features in your sprite that start to get distracting. The best way to jam a bunch of Pokemon into one sprite is to change up the body shape and streamline it, instead of just adding up more and more parts. Lizz's sprite is a good example: The head is a mix of Charmander and Snover, and the body is Numel's, but everything flows together to make something new.
Also, the tail on your sprite is cut off.

[A] Oh I secretly love your little sea Numels. They look so cute when you brighten up their dopey little eyes. (*Shakes fist at Numel*) Anyway, you're getting a good grip on 5th Gen shading. Though you only use two shades, I don't think this feels flat at all, which is usually my biggest concern with the 5th Gen. I would say though that the shading is juuuust on the edge of being too much of a contrast, but it doesn't go over that edge. Regardless, good as always. Oh, and also, the front fin looks a bit too far forward. Only a smidge though.

[B-] What killed you here is the contrast between shades, or more specifically, the lack of. The blue shade needs to be a bit darker, the yellow shade more so. The second thing to take note of is starting to pay attention to the leg anatomy. Unfortunately, like all things anatomy, the best option is simply to look up references and try and mimic them. The advice I can give you right now is to commit to the joints if you want them bent. Make them sharper. Of course, if they're not in the right place, then it'll look even more wrong. Look at some other quadruped Pokemon sprites and get an idea for how they stand.

[B] I must be very picky about legs today. Anatomically, the legs on this sprite seem a bit short and skinny to hold up the Pokemon's weight, specifically around the ankles. But that's a design issue. Technically, and yes I know how much people dread to hear this, the shading is inconsistent. If you were to bring the shadow forward on the rump, I think it would fix most of the problem (though reworking the shading on the tail might be in order too.)

[B+] An interesting quirk you seem to have (and don't worry, everyone has their quirks) is to have a spotty outline. While this can be good in transitional areas from a colored outline to a black outline, this sprite almost abuses it. By itself it's not too distracting (see the tail area) but its best to commit to a solid outline for large areas. Also, (and I couldn't think of a good way to transition this, even though it's both about outlines) the black outline on the nose particularly stands out, as its surrounded by two colored outlines, and seems like it would be in a place that would get a lot of light. By itself, the outline problem would have still netted you an A-. The drop was due to most of the fusion consisting of Rapidash, with little of the other Pokemon.
Also, the ice hooves look really good and its a cool feature.
