Several UK gaming outlets are reporting that they've received invitations from Ubisoft to an Assassin's Creed event on February 27. Details are scant surrounding this event, which MCV labels as "mysterious." All that seems to be apparent is that the Assassin's Creed logo is featured prominently on the invitation. What could it mean? Only time will tell.
As for what Ubisoft has up their sleeve, well, that's anyone's guess. Ubisoft Montreal, the Assassin's Creed development studio, is hard at work prepping Watch Dogs for release this year. Considering Ubisoft absolutely has an Assassin's Creed lined up for release this year, perhaps we're looking at a Brotherhood or Revelations-type side-story for release on current gen consoles? Perhaps around September or October?
There's also this mysterious Osiris project that has been leaked twice, but is yet to be officially revealed -- and looks surprisingly like an Assassin's Creed game.
Whatever Ubisoft has in store, it's bound to be exciting for Assassin's Creed fans. It's also worth noting that Ubisoft's even will come one week after tomorrow's PlayStation event, where the next-gen PlayStation console is said to be announced. Will Assassin's Creed be jumping to next-gen consoles? Stay tuned.
