Squiiddish is one of those members of the community who has become synonymous with the Assassin's Creed Multiplayer going from ACB to ACR and now into AC3. In this video he rants about the problems with the Assassin's Creed Revelations Multiplayer, the abilities, the techniques and even the points system and proposes some changes that would benefit the game and make it more stealthy - as it was in Brotherhood.
He notes that in ACR all stealth more or less went out of the window, with the only real bonus being an extra +250 pts for Stealth Kills or +150 pts for Incognito. Some of you make note that I've been playing a lot of ACR recently and I have to agree. The points sytem, the abilities, the *bleep*ing Smoke Bomb Stun Lock in team games, arial assassinations, as well as stunning through mashing of the B (or O) button piss me the *bleep* off. Haha. I was a veteran in the Brotherhood multiplayer, being there from day one almost until the release of ACR (if my god damn xbox didn't have a hissy fit and decide it doesn't like online any more) and so I'm, even now, still adapting to this god awful new style of "I can derp all I want because I can stun my pursuer" game play. Gone are the days where people feared running in-game in case their pursuer saw them.
So, guys, for those who have played Multiplayer what do you think of the proposed changes? I personally, I really really like them. They focus more on stealth, not just in the points system but also in the locking mechanics and in the alterations proposed for the abilities IE No stunning or focus in Smoke Bomb, Morphing only affects 4 NPCs, Stunning only amounts to +100 pts and Arial Assassinations on +50 pts (because those newbs need to get off those god damn roof tops. >_<)
Of course the chances that Ubisoft actually change the multiplayer for the better are minimal, but hopefully we'll see some if it at E3 in just a few weeks time. =)
I generally don't mind Revelations' multiplayer but I can see myself agreeing with pretty much everything.
A lot of the game these days, people can just run at you throw a smoke, then just stun you which gets rid of the whole aspect of the game. I would definitely prefer a more stealthy approach, but that'll probably mean I'll suck more. XD
