I'd have preferred maybe one set in China, linking back to Assassin's Creed Embers a little bit but what they've done with the American Revolution and this game is fantastic anyway. So no room for complaints from me. =P

I honestly don't know where they are going with the series after III. The entire story has been built around the use of the animus to go to the past to fight off Templars and stop the end of the world. I can't see where they can go that's new with that idea. Of course they could do away with the Animus idea (since that seems to have got them in a lot of hot water recently lol) and just do a modern / futuristic assassin game - but then I don't know, removing the animus is more or less removing the one thing they've built the franchise around.

It's a tough one to crack, but I don't see why they can't pull it off. They've created a highly successful series that they've promised to continue after desmond, but there is no guarantee that Desmond will succeed in his mission to stop the templars.

ACR Spoilers
What I would like to see if some more of Subject 4 (Daniel Cross) and his involvement with Abstergo. If you've played the Multiplayer of ACR he's referenced a lot in there to the extent where you hear his voice off screen, talking to Warren Vidic. Really like to see a climactic showdown between Desmond and Daniel, since Cross is currently after his father, William (Bill) Miles. So maybe some exaction of revenge for his fathers death is in the future of the game? Who knows! I'm looking forward to it nevertheless.

Also, we're definitely going to see Subject 16 again, his ending was too quick and brushed off for it not to mean anything haha! Can't wait to perhaps seeing 16 come through 17 and maybe killing 4? Or Warren? There will definitely be an internal struggle though (or at least I'd like there to be) while 16 tries to take full control of Desmond while Desmond tries to keep his control. Maybe 16 will be a protagonist-turned-antagonist... SO MANY AWESOME POSSIBILITIES. GOD DAMN IT UBISOFT.

Hmm, removing the animus does sound like it would take away possibly their biggest selling point. Maybe if a future setting was one that Desmond takes control of? I haven't played any game since 2, but I remember Desmond's role being more important in that one and I thought that was significant.[/div]

Well I can't reveal too much without spoiling it for you, but his heritage is significant and goes beyond that of Altair and Ezio... way beyond.
