I disagree. Whats not to like about assassins taking down nazis? The templars fit well as the nazis. Taking over Europe, controlling and brainstorming everyone. I still think its pretty cool. But, judging by the direction AC is going, they probably won't do WW2.

True, but you can't really do much story-wise. While a lot of the war was polical warfare, the end result is Germany surrendering, a pretty lame end for an Assassin's Creed game. Although it would be awesome to see them tackle Hitler's death. If they decide to do WWII it should be as they're planning with ACIII, the war is there, but it's not a main focal point of the story.
