Even then it's not what I imaged would be a hard thing to do (deliver a child). Most of the work from what I'm guessing is done by the woman through pushing and the midwife is mainly there to help guide the baby out and catch it. the baby was born quite premature, so it would have been excessively fragile. perhaps the midwife didnt take that into account. even then, if it can decapitate a baby like that, a normal baby probably would have suffered permanent injuries. and no, to my understanding, they shouldnt be pulling in the first place. i really have no comment on this article. -------------------

	if that was the case, i dont think it was the womans choice to stop pushing. its not like she thought to herself, 'hey, just for kicks, ill stop halfway and leave my baby in my vagina while i enjoy the pain some more' -------------------
