Things That Make Your Day SUCK!

Okay, so I went shopping at around 9pm tonight. Pouring rain, but I needed some things. Hoped for a quick and easy trip to the store and back. No such luck.

I pulled up to some lights, stopped and pulled my parking brake only to hear an absolutely massive BANG and the lever to go limp in my hand. (inb4 "I bet that's not the first thing that has, Tiff." ). So yeah, no garages open and stuck without a parking brake I took the car to a friend who is a mechanic at around 10pm and he was kind enough to look at it for me. Well, he made me help him undo some bolts on the bottom of my car so there was I in my shopping attire of a skirt and top under a car with a wrench. Probably not my most glamorous moment! He said he'd sort it for me tomorrow anyway after sourcing a new cable.

Let's hear what things have made an otherwise normal day absolutely freakin' suck for you.

You should have said, "Show me the Car-Fax".

I have probably had quite a few times with crap in them, but I cannot think of any right now, maybe later.

Optimistic people...people that are ALWAYS happy.

So I'm kind of trying to work as much as possible so I can save up some money and move the *bleep* out of this house but on Thursday I have to leave on time to I can pick up the lady whose house I'm staying at. Sounds sort of weird saying I have to leave on time but I usually end up working anywhere from half an hour to three hours late every day. Anyways, last week I went to pick her up but was like 10 minutes late and she got a ride but didn't try and call me or anything so I sat there, for an hour wondering where the hell she is and finally I just left and when I get home she's just laying in bed. Then I told her yesterday, "I'll be there to pick you up, don't leave" and she somehow misread that note as "I have to work late so I can't get you." So I had to leave work even though they needed help and I needed the hours and I'm sitting there and this cab pulls up and starts talking me and it turns out he's there to get the same person I am.

It sounds like just a minor annoyance but when this happens over and over and over it just pisses me off.

Oh and I think Les Schwab sold me a tire with two nails in it... I went to put this tire on today and noticed pieces of metal in it so I took it to this tire place and they pulled out these two nails that were each like 4 inches long and two little pieces of another nail or two. Unfortunately I don't have proof because I bought it a while ago as a spare when I had to use the spare that was already in my car.

For me it's waking up in the morning, getting ready, get to the bus stop and see the bus zoom by right infront of me. I then berate myself wondering why I couldn't get up and be ready a few seconds earlier.

I have always hated buying used cars Roy. Car seemed to be in good shape so I decided to ignore my gutt and just do it. Worst idea I ever had tbh. I'm getting rid of this anyhow and getting a brand new one so I never have to deal with stuff like this ever again.

Except that most people can't afford a brand-spanking-new car these days. Even entry-level new vehicles cost $15,000. Unless you plan on spending a few years financing it, it's not exactly the best option for most people. I know I certainly don't have the money for a new car.

I understand that, I just personally would prefer to pay for a car than have to ditch out so much more money in maintenance...it always turns out that way. Atleast in the different situations that I have seen.

Side note: LOL, I just learned there's a limit to how many consecutive letters are allowed in a word.

She didn't notice, haha.

It wasn't spewing blood, actually it wasn't bleeding enough to be super noticeable. I had some styptic powder so it stopped bleeding.
