This is pretty much the same for me. I hold in a lot of stress and then at some point just break down. It's not the healthiest way to deal with stress. I'm an introvert and I don't often show emotions. Working retail, I pretty much learned to let people's terrible manners just roll off of my back (like today- first day working at my new job. I had to go straighten another department and some lady seriously shooed me and proceeded to complain to her daughter about me, in front of me. I hate customers unless they have manners and don't winge about everything they can. Especially the ones that slag you off. 'You just try doing my job better than me bitch.' Is how I often feel like.

	Really fro someone like myself,coping with stress is simple,music,except for some reason death metal,speed metal,screamo,PROG,and things of that nature relaxes me apposed to relaxing or soft,slow music. ------------------- The pain returns,the scars never leave.

	I usually just take a deep breath and say "fuuuuuuck it.", because most shit is not worth getting stressed out about. On the other hand, anxiety (often of the existential sort) makes me often just sort of want to curl up and sleep for a long time. I honestly started working out just to feel like I had some measure of control in my life.

I also dont sleep well due to anxiety. And before anyone says it, i dont smoke tobacco anymore and have vastly cut down how much pot i do smoke. So I have at least reduced my chances of catching smoking related diseases.

	If I can, taking breaks away from stressful situations is my coping strategy. I make sure if I feel down then I do something I enjoy, like watching a DVD or listening to music - they're more distractions than anything else although often it works. Like you said you'll probably find it easier to stop in your new place just due to conveniance. Also, if you are in the UK and find yourself struggling BOOTS chemists are running an NHS funded FREE non smoking plan. All you have to do is sign up and fill in a questionnaire and they will supply you with 10-12 weeks of free nicotine patches in weekly intervals. Its a really good service.

	Forgot to mention music. There is nothing like a song to cheer you up. At the moment, my song of cheerfulness is 'Brokenhearted' by Karmin. Love her voice and this song is just amazing .

	music works for me, too. however, its only instrumentals that i find relaxing. theres nothing like a good cello piece, or a properly done piano/strings combo. -------------------

Love her voice and this song is just amazing . AH! Very Good shout. It has to be the right music though. I have made myself much worse by listeing to RadioHead or Coldplay at the wrong times LOL. If you are ever down and need cheering up listen to Primus. "Tommy teh cat" or "Shake hands with beef" are a good shout. If you dont like it you will at least have a smile on your face. Tool also cheer me up but in a different way, they tend to make me reflect thoughtfully on why im actually enraged or angry.
