I agree that it is wrong. I mean think about all of those actual paraplegic people that lost their legs. Do you think they wanted this to happen to them? I see it as kind of an insult to those people who only wish they could walk again. Hey I have legs but meh they are so taxing to use! Let me just get rid of them.

I think you should stop judging people. It's her body and she can do what she wants with it. You thinking that it's terrible doesn't mean a damn thing. Even if doctors refused to perform this procedure on her, she'd probably figure out a way to do it herself.

Worry about your own body and leave everyone else to theirs.

uhh, just to clear it up, as someone who is borderline anorexic, it is NOT always a mental disorder.

however, i would still consider chopping ones legs off to be a form of modification. it is a major aesthetic and functional alteration.

how do you know they didnt have counselling before going for a sex change? its not like they wake up one day, and go 'shit, i dont like my schlong/vag'

also, counselling isnt always meant to be to stop someone from doing something. it can be to try and make sure the patient is well informed on both sides of the subject at hand

The man/woman cut off their legs using an electric saw.

They have also had a sex change, no one cared about the sex change, how they wanted to take their penis and turn it into a vagina but they was deemed insane for cutting off their legs.

I know counselling isn't made to stop someone from doing something, but if they've went through counselling and at the end still don't want their legs, who is it to say they can't have them surgically removed in a safe environment with people who know what they're doing rather than having to cut them off with an electric saw in your own home.
