If you had to share one piece of advice you've learned...

I'd stop society from telling kids:

"If you set your heart on it and work hard, you can achieve anything"

Instead i'd tell them the truth:

"If you set your heart on something and work really hard you might just be able to keep your head above the water. To "achieve anything" you have to work hard, have passion, be lucky, know the right people, preferably be good looking, preferably be white, preferably be male, be verbally charming, come from the right family, live in the right country, burst your nuts, ignore your real interests, develop a mental stress disorder and be willing to break some rules and laws, ignore your inner morality and shag anything which helps your cause...

Then you can "achieve anything". I grew up thinking i'd be Scotlands first Astronaut because of this lie. No-one even told me Scotland didnt have a space programme until i was like 9 !!!
