Going to Clubs/Bars

When I turned 21, I really didn't find it cool to go to clubs anymore. Am I the only one? Once I could legally get in places, I decided I didn't really care if it is some shitty bar as long as they serve booze. Obviously, the downside is that the music/environment isn't going to be nearly as good, but that doesn't really bother me, anymore.

Being from Dublin, I really love a night in a pub. However, when I turned 18 (and slightly before that), I was mad into going to clubs looking for the next poor girl to feel the unadulterated force of my advances. Also getting locked (drunk) with friends and having a good night, but genuinely mainly about the girls...

Once I was no longer single, and was naturally older, I did kinda lose interest in the club, as I had always viewed it as a pick-up kinda atmosphere. Only recently, nearing 22, I have been pining for a good club night out though. Bit of a dance, chatting to strangers, drinking a lot. Good stuff. And what kinda clubs are you going to? Any club worth its chops at all in Dublin has cheaper drink than bars... It's because its in a plastic cup and half of it ends up on the floor, but yeah? I would have thought that that would be a constant?

I'll always prefer a pub though, for the obvious reasons really.
