	Log in to remove this sponsored message I definitely associate people and avatars. It always trips me up when members change their avatars. But for me posting style is the most important. It's one of the only reasons why I continue to post in size one teal when I know that it's completely superfluous. It's become such a habit that I wouldn't recognize my posts without it and the same applies to a few members on here. I'm one of those people who rarely change their avatars. Whenever I do, I go through a bunch until I'm satisfied though. My current one is roughly 11 months old. I really like it, so I don't think that I'll be changing it any time soon. It's girly but doesn't give off a young aura, so I think it matches where I am in both Neo and life. 2004 is the only year that I can't remember one avatar standing out from the rest. Looking back, some of my more memorable ones are (The avatar prior to this one) (Used this for a little over a year, I think) (Probably had this one the longest..definitely more than 3 years) (My first avatar to last more than a month) -------------------

	Mine's of Bellatrix Lestrange, because she's my favourite character from Harry Potter, and because she's played by Helena Bonham Carter who is one of my favourite people. I change it quite a lot, but it's always Bellatrix. Hopefully I'll be keeping this one for a while, because it's my favourite one. ------------------- Your true emancipation is a fantasy.

	Mine is Dave Strider/Davesprite from Homestuck - my favorite webcomic. I found the avatar randomly online and someone from Loungin' (I think it was min) made it all snowy. I would change it back to the regular one, but it's still snowing where I am, so I think I'll keep it that way. -------------------

	My avatar changes like the weather. I can never decide on one. Currently I have The Grim Reaper from The Sims 2, as I am a huge Sims fan and find the Grim Reaper to be a really interesting and awesome character. He possesses no scary, dark characteristics people imagine when they think "Grim Reaper", and has changed my image of The Grim Reaper and death in general. I now laugh and think of nice, relaxed, funny times with good ole' Simlish Grimmy whenever I think of the Reaper. It always makes me smile. Before I had Grimmy, I had a collection of Sims 3 PlumbBobs floating around, and before that I think I had a "Got Labrador?" avatar, as my beloved dog is, in fact, a Labrador. I cannot remember what I had before that. I plan on keeping Grimmy for a while. I must say, though, I completely understand what you mean by identifying posters by their avatars. Whenever I see the green Toy Story dinosaur, I think Cobalt, whenever I see Turtle On a Mission, I think Mouldy Cheese, and whenever I see pretty Japanese Girl face, I think Kokoro. 	My avatar is the Hero of Doom God Tier symbol from Homestuck. I quite like it and I've had it for a while.

	Well the original origin of my avatar is obviously the Cyberdemon from the original Doom games, I changed to it somewhere in 2003 but I don't remember exactly. Around about 2004 or so (I think) it got the pink bunny ears, thanks to Coral Blue aka Hrafen, and I've had it ever since. Like many others, I too make a connection between recognisable avatars and the person that used them, and it's often the avatar I would "read" first before the name to see who was posting. 	To me, avatars are very striking. They help me interpret who the person really is. Like you said, it's usually wrong, lol. When I think about this, my first thought is that absurd avatar KFC_Or_Bust had of the funny looking black guy. Then I think about all of the Tony Montana avatars that Rey had, those kind of made more sense. I always stuck to the gangster avatars from movies like Casino, Goodfellas, Godfather, etc, unless it was '02 and I used my DBZ avatars. ------------------- Hmm

	Mine is a pic of Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat. The Heat are my hometown team and D-Wade is my favorite player so I like to represent! My avatars tend to change with my interests. After all, I joined Neo as just a 10 year old kid, so you can imagine. Before I was mostly into anime, and now sports. I definitely link certain people with their avatars. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I even go as far as to assume they look like the person/thing in their avatar! Can't help it, lol. -------------------

	It took me seven years to find something that I could stick with as an Avatar, but I finally did. I was perusing through an Advent Calendar during this past holiday season, and stumbled across this Victini Avatar [Pokemon] that I thought was a great match because it looked like it was about to unleash a powerful attack that could blow away a giant. Honestly, I just got tired of looking at the default "No Avatar" image. 	Canabalt My Avatar is from this flash game. Nothing particularly special about it, other than the fact I played this for hours. Also, I just discovered that the person who did the soundtrack to this game, also did the soundtracks to Super Meat Boy and Binding of Isaac; games which I absolutely adore. -------------------
