Avoiding Glitches

2. All entrances to Vorador's Mansion being blocked off.
-There have also been a few people who have reported this as a glitch. After finding the spear from the Fire Reaver door side first, and then retrieving the Air Reaver door side second; when you make your way back to the fountain room to impale one of the statues, all the entrances to the Mansion are either blocked off, or can't be reached. To avoid this, make sure to grab the spear on the Air Reaver door side first, and then find the spear on the Fire Reaver door side second.

Actually Gauge, I think I realize what I did to trigger this. At the very beginning, after you defeat the living statues, the rubble falls and you break the stain glass window. Doing so allows you to go through if you switch to the spirit and pass through the window like he would any other gate. I didn't realize this, and continually pushed up against the window and attacked it while in the material realm. With a little persistance, Raz passes through anyways, which he isn't supposed to do. Later, after I got the spear, I did this again, and I found the corridor was blocked. So the long and the short of it is, never try to pass through the main entrance while in the material realm.

You were able to load your game and continue it without any problem?

Looks like we can add a little glitch since there is like 3 persons who got it:

- Just after getting out of the Light Forge, you can't go back into the cemetary with the door you're supposed to at the opposite side of the Forge, passing by the fire. There' still no ideas on why that glitch happens and how to resolve it except starting another game or maybe loading another saved game.

In Vorador's mansion, if you get the disc half of his crest and try to use it on the crypt door, it may (doesn't seem to happen every time) trigger a glitch that allows you to get the third spear in that crypt without getting the other half of the crest first. It will cause an even bigger glitch shortly after that that will make the game impossible to finish.

The best chance of avoiding this glitch is to get the spears from both sides first, use them on the gargoyles at the same time, then go through the Fire Reaver side and get the larger half of the crest first and use it on the crypt door, then get the disc half last and use it on the door.

Or, if you get the spear and the disc half of the crest from the Air Reaver side, just make sure you don't try to use it on the crypt door until you've gotten the other half of the emblem, too.

I'm not 100% sure what other variables have to fall into place for this glitch to occur, since it doesn't seem to happen every time. I just know that using the disc emblem on the crypt door first really sets the whole thing off.

Sorry to ask of all places, but none of these glitches seem to plague the Xbox or Pc version?

I found a really annoying glitch and was hoping for a remedy as soon as possible.

[The Vanishing Cemetery]
In the Ch. 4 level of the Cemetery with Raziel, I set off through the spectral realm to as I'm told, towards the Dark Forge. So I get to the room where Raziel finds the tomb where he can infuse his spectral form into the corpse and enter the material realm. To the left is a corridor guarded by raven-headed sentries that don't like visitors passing through. I figure, I need the Dark Reaver or something to sneak past or disable them, the only choice is back out the door I go.

Outside, battle some thorny sprouts and continue back the way I came. Big problem though, around a couple bends uphill, I find myself facing the void of infinite blue-gray nothingness... The level just totally doesn't exist beyond this hill! Right there on the path-- bam! Nothing! I step forward into it and the screen blanks into full blue-gray with little white letters that read "Loading"
First I figure its a rather unpolished load screen, but whatever, it'll load the rest of the level, and I'll be on my merry way. Wrong! After an hour of waiting, nothing happens! Still loading!

So I guess I'm stuck forever because I tried a ton of different approaches like not playing the PS2 for a while so its nice and cool or perhaps looking everywhere in this limited space (both in spectral and material) but I'm stuck in this horrible purgatory!

Any help would be appreciated....

And if it is your disc that doesn't work, try some of my hobbies on it. Granted, it won't make the disc any better, [in all liklihood is will be completely unreadable by the time you're done {if you do it right}] but you'll feel heaps better.
