re: Dissapointment of EVE Online

That's nice... Think you can enlighten us as to why you thought EVE Online "sucks"?

re: Dissapointment of EVE Online

I haven't played it yet, but the game looks beautiful. I got a question though...do you know how they bill with this game? I mean...is there a monthly fee for their servers, or can you play off 'em for free like in Counter-Strike?

re: Dissapointment of EVE Online

Well, the reason for paying a monthly fee is because of the evolving galaxy that the game takes place in.

You have to be able to pay the designers to create more regions of space, people to create storylines, etc.

It's the same with every Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

re: Dissapointment of EVE Online

If there is a game worth the money it is eve. You pay so that the can keep the server running. There is only one were all are playing (alway between 2500 and 5000 people). You also pay the people who are looking after eve. Those people fly around in space to watch out for cheaters of people who use bug in the game to cheat people. Every one who played multiplayer games in the internet knows that cheaters suck. Paying money monthly to play eve makes eve develop. CCP is always adding new things to the game, like new Battleships or items or just some bug fixes. You can feel that they really care about the game and they try to make it work in the best way. This won't work if you don't pay those guys.

Give the game a chance! Once you get into the cruiser class vessels you see what you can do. Trust me there is a galaxy out there full of opportunity.

re: Dissapointment of EVE Online

EVE sucks for several reasons

1. Defacto consentatory pk
2. No way to catch up with people who have been given isk by CCP.
3. No way to catch up skill point wise
4. CCP gives their favorites billions of isk, last example is Stain Alliance naming, the *bleep* founding it spelt it incorrectly but then CCP to the rescue and in effect gave him a billion isk
5. No action against macro miners or alliance isk bears who sell on ebay.
6. GMs have player accounts that they use to sell isk themselves.
7. CCP never acts against exploiters, only the ones who say they do not act against exploiters.

Stay as far as possible from that so called game.

I say try it out before you buy it next time. Register at mmorpg.com or something and get the fourteen day free trial. that way if you don't like it. you can shrug it off.

Plus I like this game. A lot.
