Resident Evil 6 is finally headed to PC in March, but not long after, console gamers who own the zombie-shooter will be getting a little something something. The new "Siege Mode" will be introduced to Xbox 360 and PS3 versions "shortly" after the PC version launches March 22.
Mind you, Siege Mode will cost $3.99/€3.99/£3.19 (or 320 Microsoft Points) to download and play. What it essentially does is add a fourth mode that supports between two to six players in a game of "escort the NPC." Well, that depends on which side you're on. One side will be the BSAA squad that has to rescue a lone BSAA agent, while the other assumes the role of
d-bags zombies bent on ruining the BSAA's day. Between two rounds, players will switch between the teams so both sides get a chance to play as humans or infected.
It's expected to arrive in March, too. Capcom also confirmed today that the previous three Xbox 360 exclusive modes will be release to PS3 next month, each priced at the standard $3.99 USD. All four modes will be released to PC after launch.
