I just miss the fixed camera angles and the fact that you could only aim down, middle or up. If you had a shotgun a headshot was pretty much a given. I thought the puzzles and creepy music was awesome too. I hated walking down a corridor then hearing that noise that leech monsters made but you couldnt see them, you had no idea where they were becasue you couldnt move the camera.
Also, the story was just so much more thought out, I loved finding all the notes and files and piecing together what happened through them. So much of the story was scattered in those files.
After playing the new game, I just sort of sighed. Chris's campaign was just like CoD but with zombies. Everything was too complicated, the skill set thing was just annoying, they're freaking mercenaries and secret agents, I think they're skill set is gonna pretty badass as it is, why do they have to earn their skills?
I've noticed that most companies now only seem to care about graphics and gameplay, not the story. FF7 may have crap graphics (compared to nowadays) but the story is just so amazing that you dont care. Personally I'm sick of seeing great series reduced to nothing more than guns and explosions with a HD surrounding.
