Visiting other houses in Free Play Mode

In the Free Play Mode, how do you visit other houses? We don't have a car and don't know how we can unlock one in order to be able to visit somewhere else. When you enter the free-play mode, there's a map that seems to show other places we can visit, but we just can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!

You can only visit someone in Bust Out Mode, there is no way to visit anyone in Free Play Mode.

You can throw a party and Sims will visit usually from Free Street, but sometimes you can have a Sim visit that lives on one of the Bustin' Out streets.

You can also use the phone to invite a specific Sim over, but only one of the ones that live on Free Street.

Maybe you should try Bustin' Out Mode if haven't already.

Although it's not exactly the same thing, I have a method of getting the Sim I'm playing to visit the neighbors' houses. I switch to playing another house and have one of the residents there invite my Sim over.

I can't control him when he's there, but I can make sure that each of the residents of that house socialize with my Sim to build up friendships. I do that to make friends quickly and not have to wait for each neighbor to come visiting to meet them.

I do that also, it helps a lot when you need to make some friends.

You can also have your Bust Out Sim visit your Free Play Sims and you can have your Bust Out Sim invite the Free Play Sims over to their place.

However your Free Play Sims can't call anyone that doesn't live on Free Street, but you can sometimes get your Bust Out Sim to come over when you throw a party and then when the Bust Out Sim comes over they don't go home like the other visitors do, instead they stay indefinitely {until you switch to playing them from what I could tell}.

I didn't realize that the story mode Sims and freeplay Sims could interact with each other. I thought each group only existed in their own game world like other Sims games. Could you get your freeplay Sim to marry your Bustin' Out Sim? That would be like marrying yourself. LOL

You can have your Free Play Sim marry your Bustin' Out Sim, but you have to have the Bustin Out Sim do the proposing or asking to move in.

In one game I created some female Sims on number 3 Free Street and replaced the male Sims with a couple of female Sims, mostly so that I could see if it worked with my male Bustin Out Sim and it worked fine. I could marry one or more of the Sims that I created on Free Street. It was

You can't visit other peoples houses on free play mode but you can on bustin' out mode
