The BIT.TRIP series may have ended, but that doesn't mean Gaijin Games' well of creativity has gone dry. Bring on the BIT.TRIP sequels! The developers are hard at work on a sequel to BIT.TRIP Runner. Expect an evolution you might not have expected, however, as you watch the trailer and discover BIT.TRIP Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is now in the third dimension.
Well, okay, it's still a 2D side-scrolling rhythm game at heart, but now with polygonal assets instead of sprites. That isn't the only change though. First and foremost, Runner2 is easier than the original Runner, or at least more forgiving and with a better difficulty curve. Players of the first title may recall playing hours without success and no progression to show for it. Those days are gone, but Gaijin's definitely not going to make Runner2 a cakewalk -- there's a "hard" mode available for masochists.
Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U as a downloadable title this November. Watch out for it, Gaijin Games' titles get better with every release.
