I'm stuck on vacation in Bon Voyage! Please help!

I recently sent two Sims on vacation in The Sims 2, and I when it came time to check out, some random NPC was stuck in front of the desk. I used boolProp testingcheatsenabled true to delete the desk, and the NPC was unfrozen and carried on with her day. Then I used boolProp dormspecifictoolsdisabled false to go into buy mode in order to replace the check out desk. It was replaced, but now it only tells me that no actions are available. I saw on another forum that someone had a similar problem, but no one gave any sort of clear or detailed answer. I really would not like to delete anyone, and I would like to continue playing as the two sims and get on with the game, so if someone can help me with this, that would be awesome. Thank you!

Ah, I don't like deleting characters. XD; I figured it wouldn't have made a difference which one I deleted, and actually, it shouldn't have. (However, attempting to reset the frozen Sim might have been a better choice. I feel it probably still would have lead to my current problem no matter what I did, though...)
Ah, I've tried walking to other lots and returning, but the problem does not go away. (The problem of course being that no actions are available with the check-out desk and concierge.) I've tried calling a taxi, but it only offers to take you to other community lots. I haven't tried going to another hotel yet, but given that they all have different prices and are different lots, I imagine that I would indeed have to somehow check out of the current one I'm in before being allowed to check into a new one. Regardless, it's something I have not tried, and I will try that shortly. I am pretty sure it won't work, however, so any other help anyone reading this can give me would still be much appreciated.
Also, you cannot remove the suites that you checked into without checking out. The only options on the door are to lock and unlock it and to place a "Do not disturb" sign on it.
I've gone to the neighborhood and returned to the lot many times. That doesn't work, unfortunately.
LOL. I have reset that desk and every concierge to manage it countless times. XD; It does nothing. I've also already mentioned having deleted it and replaced it, but it was not once that I tried that (see "every concierge to manage it" XD). Nothing seems to work. ;w; I don't want them to be trapped on vacation forever! (I've been using boolProp to replenish their bars since they technically ended the vacation and are no longer allowed the option to sleep in the beds.)
Thank you for your assistance, and if you have any other ideas, please don't hesitate to let me know. >w<; I want to say "I never should have sent them on vacation in the first place", but... errors like this are not supposed to happen in the first place, and it's really a fun expansion pack, so I don't regret playing it after all. I only regret that this problem occurred! I hope you can enjoy the game, and that you don't run into anything like this! Just to be sure, keep a back-up, which I've seen others suggest before.

I made a new character in the meantime who ended up marrying someone who apparently knew my other Sim, so I think I can try getting them to move in with the new Sims and then move out (since they can visit), but I'm not sure what will happen after that. I'm hoping it'll work though!
