A Mod can also refer to game mods, which are modifications made to a PC game that can do a number of things from adding new items and weapons to adding new missions. They can be submitted by going to a profile, then contribute, and Add a Mod. So for the PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2, you would go to the Profile >> Contribute >> Add a Mod.
