Hi.

As I'm sure many of you know, this forum has never had a proper RFS-style thread for people to voice ideas about the forum and provide suggestions. I think it's important for all forums to have one in some form or another, so here it is.

The forum hasn't undergone much change since I joined, but maybe that's because it can't be improved much further or because there simply hasn't been a place like this to foster suggestions. In any case, if you have any neat ideas that would spice things up, or anything else to say about the running of forum (e.g. Why was my thread closed?), please post here.

About the header image, anyone good with graphics who wouldn't mind whipping up one? I don't really want to make a competition as such, as it doesn't suit the nature of this forum.

You can always ask in G&A Graphic ReQuests if you want a header. Some of the results that they achieve is somewhat awe-inspiring really. We need something that would basically encompass the entirety of the forum, of that makes sense.

I've changed my mind -- I'm going to hold a 'contest'. We'll see what kind of stuff comes in over time and take it from there.

Looks good, especially the one with the border. I think it may look better with a different font though -- just some constructive criticism.

Wasn't expecting so many entries -- and it's only day one.

Yeah, it's easy enough to change the colour (even I can do it, and I'm the biggest n00b ever with graphics). I don't think it should be transparent (nor white) though, because that's what makes it even more distinct.

Good point about "help", but the banner looks so perfectly balanced without it. To be fair though, this is a Site Related forum, so it's pretty important that there isn't anything missing from the forum name, if you get what I'm saying.

The darker one is the bee's knees tbh.

If the Neoseeker Podcast (see Dragoon's link) isn't similar enough to what you're suggesting, please go ahead and create a thread in the ReQuests, Feedback and Suggestions Forum. This thread is for feedback and suggestions regarding THIS forum (Site/Forums Help and QA), not the rest of the site. It is confusing though, so I'll probably think up a clearer name for this thread a bit later.

Well, Justin, I think that anyone should be able to ask any site-related question in here, regardless of how obvious the answer may seem to some people. If I were to start imposing rules on what sorts of questions can be asked (beyond the fact that it must be about Neoseeker), the forum may become too hard for newbies to use, and that'd be in conflict with this forum's purpose.
