Help with anchors | |||
|
I need help using anchors. I was going to make some anchors link to each chapter in my story so everyone wouldn't have to read all the other post in between them, but some are on a different page. The anchors have worked on all the chapters on the first page but not on the other pages. How can I make them link to the next page and go to the post I want it to? Here is the story if you want to see what I am talking about, the links are in the very first post. ------------------- ![]()

Just link to the page and then add #anchorname to the end of the URL.

I'm pretty much asking how can I make an anchor link to a post on a different page if I was being confusing. ------------------- ![]()

I already read through that before posting here. It only showed how to use anchors on the same page, I couldn't find anything about linking them to another page. I looked at your example though, and figured out how. Thanks. ------------------- ![]()

Yeah, but when I tried doing it from reading his post, I came out with this: quote sixpack [size=1][color=#666666]This message was edited by sixpack on Nov 15 2009. ------------------- ![]()

That code should work, but for some reason it's not. For the time being, I suggest you just use the direct message links if your anchors are only at the start of posts and report it as a bug. On another note, I'm a he. ------------------- ![]() Registered Linux User No. 498029

That is working properly for me. quote sixpackThe bolded part is probably why your link was not working. Also, there is a shorter version for linking: click me
