If you've been looking forward to Codemasters' DiRT Showdown on either PS3 or Xbox 360, your wait has been extended by a few days, as the game is now due out June 12. It's not too much of a delay though, given that the competitive racer was originally scheduled to arrive May 29.
The PC version, on the other hand, will still be hitting retailers worldwide on May 24, just as planned. The decision to delay the console version, according to Codemasters, was reached after discussions with their distribution partner Warner Bros. The two companies evidently believe the new console date "will provide the game with a clearer release window and create a greater opportunity for success at North American retail outlets."
Feel free to stare at the official box art (below) in the mean time.
