American Nightmare Information Thread

The title for the upcoming Alan Wake downloadable installment has been leaked by the German software ratings board as Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.

Originally set to be announced at the Spike VGAs this weekend, a posting of the game’s rating from the USK website revealed the name. Earlier reports had speculated the title to be Alan Wake: Night Springs, a name that borrows from the fictional Twilight Zone-like TV series from within the game..

Earlier this week, Developer Remedy has said that the future XBLA-exclusive game would be “structured like a full release complete with a pretty damn impressive storyline,” but also was quick to dispel rumors by stating that it is “definitely not Alan Wake 2.”

Regardless, the game still is getting some good attention. When talking with Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb, VGA organizer Geoff Keighley said “I’ve seen the game, I’ve seen the trailer we’re showing and even though it’s going to be a downloadable game, it’s not a small game.”

This game looks amazing and I will me amazing! The USA release date is 15th february this year! so that leaves just a few days of waiting now. As it is already said, this game is not a Alan Wake 2 and therefore it is pretty safe to say that it will NOT follow up on the previous story. Still it is the second installment of the series and will probably have a new and better story for us to play! It is also said that this game will have a hole new game mode for us fans to enjoy! It's called "Survive Until Dawn" and as the title hints to you are going to survive against hordes of enemies coming against you until Dawn comes.That will if you ask me add alot more fun to the game. On some pictures of the game you can see Alan holding a Flashlight and a Nail Gun which probably is his signature weapons as he is using the mostly in all pictures of him.
