Xbox LIVE's Summer of Arcade is off to another good start, with its opening title Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD sitting at about 120,000 sales after just one week. News comes directly from developer Robomodo, and you can imagine they're pretty happy.
And it doesn't look like the game will be losing steam any time soon. Robomodo's Josh Tsui stated that the day-over-day sales are "staying very consistent," thanks in large part to word of mouth in the Xbox LIVE community. He attributes much of the success to the fact that "people are more apt to try games that are smaller and downloadable."
Keep in mind the 120,000 figure only accounts for one week of XBLA sales. Tsui noted, "It should be interesting to see the sales on PC -- we've been surprised how many people are asking for that."
He also confirmed that the HD re-release hasn't exactly been a huge risk to copyright holder Activision. No word yet on whether they'll be bringing more of the Tony Hawk's series back.
