Sandbox Lore - The Ever Infamous 100% Completion Thread!

I think the Achievements being created kinda cheapened the 100% completion task. Where developers in previous games would throw you a bone, now all they have to do pretty much is toss you a trophy or some gamerscore and they call it a day.

I dont even understand the point of Gamerscore/Trophies. Especially in games where you get achievements simply for playing the game. Oh, you completed level 1. Wow. We're so impressed by that we're going to add to your gamerscore.

I remember way back when people were thinking that Gamerscore was going to be able to be used as currency to get some stuff from XBOX Live. Then it went to just straight up money being needed to buy "Microsoft points".

I find most achievements completely pointless. All the time when I play online people are freaking out that I have over 70k gamerscore. Usually its the "Wow, you have NO life" kind of crap based off of some kind of imagined inadequacy because theirs doesnt measure up.

Ive had my XBOX since a few months after it launched, and Ive just played a TON of titles. Very few have I gotten the 1000/1000 on, so basicly just the simple act of playing some of these games Ive rented and was able to finish in 4-6 hours, over the span of about six years has just piled up the points.

Achievements should be scrapped and devs should bring back the rewards and unlocks for putting the extra time into their game.

Just got 100% earlier today. 30 hours, 28 minutes.

Also, when you start a new game, you get a fairly unsettling warning that doing this will "ERASE" your progress, which is compounded by having to play about three missions before you can get back to your apartment.

I can confirm that all your unlocks (suits, comics, concept art) carry over into the new game. Your character progress resets to level 1.

The ASM Black Variant (referred to simply as "New Black Suit") in the game is actually pretty sweet looking. I like it far better than the SM 3 costume.

I totally didn't even think of looking in the ceiling, you just saved me a few run throughs.

Although it seems like even if I do everything I possibly can I won't be able to get 100%.

I never even knew about taking pictures of enemies until after I beat the game, and apparently at that point I had already killed all the seekers. One of the last things I need is a picture of a seeker so... I might have quite a problem.

Replay Oscorp Secret Lab #2.

Down in the bottom area of the lab is a broken Seeker. Its hard to miss because its sparking everywhere. Snap a photo of that, and youre good to go.

Not sure what to tell you, other than it sounds like a malfunction with your console's internal clock. All of the emblems are on the disc, they are simply set to release on a specific date. I would go back in, reset the internal clock to a different date. Dont do december. Just set your clock to 8/27/2012 (this is Spider-Man's birthday so you will also unlock the birthday hat), and then go look for the emblems again.

It sounds like the game is fine. It has to be an issue with your clock settings, or youre getting confused on where to look for the emblem transitioning from the video to your game.

Cross Species Spider-Man is unlocked after completing the story.

New Black Suit requires 100% completion in all of your stats records.

That character figurine should be the Black Suited Spider-Man, and will unlock once youve achieved 100% of everything else.

Go down your bulletin board list of levels and see to it that they all read 100% (There are 2 audio logs in the opening sequence that I missed, for instance...)

Go back over Whitney's list of enemies that need to be photographed, and make sure youve snapped a shot of them all.

After that, it should be a simple matter of looking at the stats and seeing what you are missing.
