	Log in to remove this sponsored message quote Eurogamer Amazing Spider-Man launches on 29th June 2012 in Europe, Activision has announced. It goes live in the US on 26th June. Confirmation comes from a new trailer that shows Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man facing off against grumpy old Rhino. It's below. Amazing Spider-Man is an open-world action game made by Edge of Time and Shattered Dimensions developer Beenox. Free-roaming in Manhattan returns, as do side missions, challenges and mini-games. The story is set after the events of the movie reboot, due out on 3rd July. The new Web Rush mechanic gives players "real-time navigational and combat choices". It can be triggered on the fly, at any moment and immediately presents you with a variety of situational choices. Beenox is creating the game "with a more realistic mindset", although how this will manifest itself remains to be seen. The Activision-owned developer has promised "new interpretations" of classic Marvel super-villains and all new villains created specifically for the game. It looks pretty good, but Rhino again? 	Ive always liked Rhino, and Im pretty interested to see how it will be to rampage through NYC with him as my pre-order bonus. If its anything like the "unstoppable movement" locomotion system from Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction from the PS2/XBOX, there could be some pretty sweet action there rampaging over vehicles and flinging them around. Im more aggravated with the "giant robot" regurgitation that seems to have plagued every Spider-Man title. Im so sick of freaking robots. You have all of this comic book history to draw from, and the best you can come up with is more robots? Fail. ------------------- Profile retired as of 7/28/2012.

	I like the giant robot, to be honest, The Stinger because the fighting and webslinging mechanics that you can use to combat it look absolutely fabulous! If this is anywhere near as good as it looks then it is NOT going to be like the previous and LAME robot fights. This looks awesome. Also, have you guys seen the trailers with Scorpion and Felecia Hardy? Also check the videos I posted as both she and Scorpion are in them! -------------------

	Yeah, Im a little bummed though that this is Felicia Hardy before she becomes the Black Cat. Scorpion, he just looks like a mess. Im old fashioned though, and preferred Mac Gargan who was trapped in a Scorpion suit because JJJ wanted him to go after Spidey. I really dont like the past incarnations theyve made of him, where he's either some crazy brainwashed test subject, or what looks like a gene splicing nightmare. He's a better villain when hes just a rage fueled psychopath bent on destroying both JJJ and Spider-Man for what has become of him. ------------------- Profile retired as of 7/28/2012.

	The Stinger, from what I read, Sony REALLY tied Beenox's hands with regard to the villains and other Marvel characters that they could use for this game. The reason is that they don't want to give out any details of upcoming movie sequel characters and they don't want the game to in any way contradict future movie canon. Honestly, if this is true, I think that's pretty stupid. I mean this is a damned video game and nobody is going to expect Sony to not contradict a movie video game in a sequel. -------------------

This is what I was concerned about - thinking it was a pure movie tie-in. From what I understand after a conversation with my friend, this takes place after the events in the movie - but I didn't know the developers were limited to what they could do with it.
