The way they're implementing them sounds perfect. And Rockstar makes great stories so I doubt the "I didn't feel a connection" card will work.

I think the 3 protagonist and the ability to switch between them almost at will could be awesome,

I could see R* setting up a mission where you are playing with Michael, then as a example lets say you are in alley and you get on a sticky situation like being held at gun point, then you (the player) spot Franklin walking on the street so you switch to him and help out Michael by being sthealty or come into the alley guns blazing, since they said that the other protags are living their life if you are not playing with them, I could totallty see this happening

this is just a example that I could see R* doing, I am a idiot imagine what R* could come up with.

Can see this being handled beautifully if done like modern warfare with the banded storylines instead of a pick and choose system.

Curious about who you are when you're just pissing about. Would be rather a nice touch if you could create a character for free roaming and so on.

The cod4 campaign did the whole switching between characters thing brilliantly, you started off as a black yank, he died, then you were a white british man, then another one, and so on. But it was still amazing.
