Epsilon Program

How many games has it been mentioned in? I only recall it in SA.

Bigfoot was the biggest GTA myth. Epsilon is just a jab at Scientology. There seems to be a rather large and noticeable Scientology facility in LA, which will no doubt show up as the Epsilon headquarters or something.

Bigfoot may obviously be fake, but at the same time, there's obviously nothing to find with Epsilon. All I'm seeing are references to a parody of Scientology. What do you expect to find? It's been 8 years, shouldn't something more solid than a radio or pedestrian reference have been found by now?

I haven't underestimated the popularity or the number of people involved, I just know a dead end when I see one. I've debunked many a GTA myth in my day. How is Epsilon any different than the references of the Maibatsu Monstrosity and Pogo The Monkey?

I don't think there are any hidden missions, or stuff like that ...anymore. There's just more to it than you think. For example: The GTA IV series internet is much bigger than you think and contains multiple references and stuff.

I'm not forcing you to search for any of this, am I? So quit ruining our fun. We just like to find absolutely EVERY reference there is and see how it all fits together. R* will continue this in GTA V.

For one thing, Epsilon is bigger and has A LOT more references. If we'd be searching for the glory hole theme park, you'd be asking the same.

It obviously is a long running and pretty funny joke. What's wrong with finding and chronicling each and every weird occurrence in the GTA universe and hoping that the next game will add a side-mission for it?

To some people, it's fun to search for and chronicle the sort of stuff like the insane street priests in GTA IV and the really odd occurrences in some San Andreas missions.

For example: Do you guys know how many references there are throughout the games for cheese being the latest weapon against communism? Formage (as in Cris Formage) is a form of cheese, so this is a possible connection.

No, we don't maintain anything about the australian war. The only thing known about it is that it existed. I think that might be the GTA version of the Korean war. Had it happend any more recently, there would have to be more references.

Also, counting the off site dedicated Epsilon forums, we have about a 1000 threads. Well, most of them have like 10 posts, so the total post count still has only 5 digits, but whatever.

Yeah thats OK aswell, i was just kinda hoping someone could point me to what kicked it all off. I mean we all heard the same radio advertisments and seen the same referances. I thought there may have been one over-riding factor which convinced people to look deeper.

If its just a general interest in all the niches of the game then i understand that. I cant judge anyone, I used to do speed runs and timed laps in each of the cars and log all of my results LOL. Nothing sadder than driving the Mt. Chilliad ring road with the no vehicles cheat on a tractor timed run HAHA!

I think some fan generated content and easter eggs would be great. I think adding a human NPC named "bigfoot" who lives in the woods near Chilliad would be hillarious. A mission where yuou have to infiltrate or investigate the cult would be a pretty decent addition.

The blue suit (or any special combination of clothing, tattoos, hair, ...) has been proven to be a completely fake myth. I still don't understand how that could have fooled so many people.

I've seen several such combinations of what one should wear/drive to make some special thing appear, but that was never going to happen.
