Well what were you disappointed about exactly? Surely that would determine if you should go for V or not.

The consequences of ramming into stuff was no different between III and IV. I enjoy an occasional crash-into-everyone-and-everything, and it's so satisfying in IV.

The missions sound much bigger and intense, but I'm pretty sure they're keeping to the realism theme.

I might end up pre-ordering this. I'm not sure yet.

Something I want is a nice area that is a heavy forest with tire tracks in the dirt that have some neat trails and jumps over fallen trees and stuff. That would suit the dirt bikes and quad bikes well. The other thing I want is a nice big truck and a place to take it off-roading.

Some scenarios that I think would be cool. Imagine you're just driving along and all of a sudden you find a camper (if they are in the game like they were in SA) turned on its side at the bottom of the mountain and it's all wrecked and then you find 2 dead bodies and broken fence pieces or guard rail pieces along the area and if you go up the mountain you see a broken section in the fence or guard rail.

Also imagine if there were places to go off-roading or mudding you could find trucks that are stuck and slinging mud and you could chose to help them if you had a powerful enough vehicle (another truck) or just leave them stuck.

Another thing that would be kind of cool is if there was a working area where lumberjacks were and a cycle would somehow make it so they would be hacking away at the trees for 5 minutes. Then when they finally got one, it would fall on a guy, squishing him and making blood go everywhere, then like 5 minutes later there would be cops, firefighters, and paramedics there, then the last 5 minutes it would be abandoned and then start all over.

A scenario they should bring over from RDR is when you would see people running from bears. They should do that again.

The last thing that seems cool is if you are just hanging out in the woods and then you see somebody run by and then hear barking and there are cops running after him with police dogs (and flashlights if it was night).

What kind of scenarios or terrain would you like to see in the countryside/forest/mountains?

(I didn't say wildlife because we ALL want bears and stuff)

I'm expecting it to run like most of the previous games, and require certain area's to be unlocked, maybe the three main characters start area is connected so you can travel between them and nothing is unlocked early but then you have to play the story mission to unlock other area's of the map (that being said unsure how exactly they may decide to write it).

I like GTA IV, but I can see why some people aren't too fond of it. I wouldn't call it the best GTA game.

Agreed. I personally really enjoyed GTAIV. San Andreas and Vice City are still my favorites of the series but I had fun with the missions in GTAIV. The DLC was pretty good too. I've played through BoGT at least three times now and I got the DLC barely a year ago.
