heres the situation. i had uninstalled doom3 and reinstalled it after a few months and i played through then when i went to go get some mods to play around with, tehy just dont work and dont show up in the mods directory in the main menu when i start the game.

for example, i donwloaded the shadow legion mod, and all i had to do to install it was put the PK4 file into the "base" folder, so then i try to run the game, and the mod just isnt there!

this also happens with maps, i put them into the base folder and follow the installation instructions, but when i bring the console down and type the map link into it, it just says "map bcl_escape cannot be found" (for example).

is my base directory screwing up when i install my game?

ahh, never mind guys, i got them too work.

the problem was that i was using a D3 shotcut that was on my desktop and i need to use the shortcut in my D3 folder for my mods to show up.
