Blazblue Continuum Shift EXTEND is an upcoming game for the PS3 PSVita and Xbox 360 and is also a remake of the 2010 game Blazblue Continuum Shift.

While it is somewhat of a Game of the Year rehash EXTEND offers so much more than just a few cursory add ons.

With extended story arcs for each character as well as brand new arcs for DLC characters Makato, Nanaya, Valkenhayn R. Hellsing and Platinum the Trinity, more game modes to try out as well as fixing the previously unbalanced roster from Continuum Shift, EXTEND promises to be more than just a cash grab. (Take a hint Capcom)

Also included will be the story arc for the first Blazblue game, Calamity Trigger, although on a much more linear and canonical scale when compared to the game itself as well as keeping in the main arc from the original Continuum Shift.

Released in Japan on the 17th of December 2011, the International release date has been delayed until the 14th of February regardless of the fact that it would take little to no work to localise the title as not only is all the English VA work done but most of the menus in the game itself are almost all in English. It is most likely that the International Release has been delayed to coincide with the release of the PSVita in NTSC and PAL regions. But that's just mere speculation at the time of posting.

All 18 characters from CS are returning, both the characters on the disc as well as those that were DLC and a brand new character by the name of Relius Clover is introduced as well. And yes, he and Carl are related.
