James Young, that update is much better!! The colour makes it a lot better to look at, the size of the text makes it look neater. I'm gonna try and figure out how to use pre-tags to make those scores align properly. That last touch would make this perfect.

Like I said, I've been experimenting for a while now and I have needed to figure out how to do everything for most part. All I need to do is learn how to do things and afterwards things become as easy as sleeping.

Obviously don't tell your new best friend to get lost but whatever. I'm sure I said "send me a PM of you want to carry it on" yet Mr Do-Good still spouts his shit out in your thread.
Another one wrapped right round his finger! Nice job! I wont reply to your false or but hurt replies anymore. So you'll be wasting your time even notifying me of any. Good day sir.

Pro King, now I like to thing that I've always been alright with you. I think that you two are both very good members of the forum, and excellent writers. To be quite honest I think this comes down to you misinterpreting a few of Catch's posts here and there. I guess in a way he does take some elements of the story writing quite seriously, but is that a bad thing? Constructive criticism is everything for somebody trying to improve, and I know I've definitely benefited from it. Also, to say that he is negatively reviewing stories is just plain wrong.. he's probably given out some of the most positive feedback in the whole forum. So what I'm trying to say is, people's personalities sometimes clash, people's opinions sometimes clash. Sometimes it's best just to take a step back, and don't rush in with your first instincts on certain things/posts.

Your new layout is much more keen to the eye and I'm interested to follow your career as it's pretty much a Unemployment Challenge career. Will make sure to catch up with your progress so far!

Thank you, I was trying to find a good layout and now that I've changed it for all of my posts so far, I'm hoping that it will continue to impress.

25 and Still Jobless – October 2012 - My Worst Ever Month as a Manager
After losing to Lincoln City for the second time in a row under my reign, both of which just happened to be at home as well, I felt like I had the right to be really annoyed about our latest setback. The sad thing about it was that Lincoln always scored at least 2 goals, while we could only ever seem to score 1 goal. It was downright frustrating to see our hard work come undone. However, for our next game, we were heading up north to the town that my grandfather was raised in, Barrow. Last time we came up here, it was a 3-2 score line where we almost gave away a 3 goal lead that we had built up, so I felt my urge to feel slightly worried was somewhat justified. However, that was several months ago when I was just trying to keep Bath from being overfilled with water, this is now, where we are currently in the playoffs and looking confident about our chances, despite our defeat Lincoln City. The media also agreed with me. However they only thought that it would be a tight game against my “high-flying” Bath. A win could see us move up to 2nd in the table.
There were some changes made, one of which was Mark Preece coming in for only the second time this season as he replaced the suspended Gethin Jones, who had been on fire before his red card. Alex Russell also came in to replace the injured Alexander McQueen, while Marc Canham also looked set to make his mark from the bench. Samir Bihmoutine was also dropped to the bench due to the fact that he looked tired, allowing Scott Murray to start in the right-midfielder, after shifting Marley Watkins and Paul Stonehouse around. Jamie Cook was set to make his 50th career league appearance for Bath.
In the first half Barrow started off with more of the possession and this result in more chances being created by them. However, just before half time Cook gave us the lead with a volley from a cross that had been provided by Steven Howarth. It was 1-0 to Bath at half time. In the second half, Almond equalized for Barrow, due to some poor play after we kicked off for the second half. Howarth came close to putting us back into the lead as he shot went inches wide, before Boyes hit the bar with a shot that he should scored with. In the end, the match ended up as a draw, making it now 2 games without a win as he slipped down to 6th on goal difference below ... Lincoln ... for god sake!
Blue Square Premier – 06/10/12 Barrow 1 – 1 Bath Almond (47) | Cook (43) 10 Shots 8 2 On Target 1 47% Possession 53% 3 Yellow Cards 1 0 Red Cards 0 MoM – Kelvin Lomax (Barrow)
After being held by Barrow, yes I was being held in the end, we were trying to break them down in the end, I knew that in order to keep my hopes of a playoff places alive, we needed to win our next game. Our opponents were none other than Fleetwood, the runners-up of the Blue Square Premier AND the FA Trophy. If there was any team that had a point to prove, than it would be this team, due to the fact that they were runner-ups in 2 competitions last year and failed at the last hurdle on both accounts, as well as losing in the playoff semi-finals. I almost felt sorry for them, the key word being almost, since I wanted to get Bath into a bid for promotion as well and would take out anyone in our way, which included Fleetwood, who beat us in March last season, which was followed up by our defeat to Newport, who happened to beat Fleetwood in the playoffs. It was their fault really. The media made us the slight favourites for the match and I was hoping that we could deliver.
There had been several chances made for this match, with Dean Bouzanis once again on international duty for Greece, Glyn Garner was allowed to start, while Josh Swann was put on the bench. After serving his suspension, Gethin Jones was back, replacing Mark Preece, who was dropped altogether, while Samir Bihmoutine reappeared from the bench to start once more, replacing Scott Murray. Another chance was the replacement of Marc Canham, who got injured during the week, allowed Jimmy Adcock a potential chance to come on from the bench.
In the first half, we decided that we would go for the counter strategy, fearing a potential danger. Alex Pritchard was injured within the first 15 minutes. I felt a horrible feeling as now my two best centre midfielders were injured. The half ended up being 0-0. In the second half, Cook had a great chance to score, only for the keeper to deny him brilliantly. Jay Harris was then sent off for Fleetwood for a horrible tackle where he went in two footed on Alex Russell, when he was already on a yellow card to begin with, thankfully Russell was able to continue after the assault on the 38 year old. Edwards then somehow scored to make it 1-0 to Fleetwood, cause myself to look on in disbelief at the fact we had gone behind to a team with just ten men on the field. Then John Young was injured and had to come off hurt, before Gethin Jones almost scored when his header hit the bar before going over. The game ended up finishing 1-0 to Fleetwood and because of the result we dropped down to 7th place with no win in 3 games now. Almost makes me wish that someone else would offer me a job or something. Thankfully though, the players who were injured in this match, were not injured enough to miss anytime and their injuries were only lasting for the match, thank god.
Blue Square Premier – 13/10/12 Bath 0 – 1 Fleetwood | Edwards (74), Harris s/o (61) 6 Shots 8 2 On Target 2 47% Possession 53% 1 Yellow Cards 4 0 Red Cards 1 MoM – Shaun Beeley (Fleetwood)
Before our next league game, the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup was made and we were handed an away draw against Newport County, who would be no doubt looking for payback for their earlier defeat in the league. However with our next game being against newly promoted Eastleigh, who in the past several games been on a losing streak of 5 games in a row now, we were considered the favourites by a mile away.
I made some changes for this match. Sam Whittall replaced Jamie Cook at front, while Jamie Lyden replaced Christopher Jones in the right-back position. While Alexander McQueen had finally recovered from his damaged elbow, I was not prepared to risk him due to low fitness.
In the first half Howarth scored his first ever goal for the club as he headed in Marley Watkins’ great cross into the box, ending his goal drought of over 600 minutes. However, our lead didn’t last long due to some sloppy defending at the back, which allowed Diop to score, had Bouzanis been in goal for this game there would not have been a goal. The end of an entertaining first half ended up being 1-1, but we were looking for and needing a win. In the second half Whittall had a great chance to put us in front, but put it wide. Before Whittal scored to make it 2-1 with what looked like an accident more than anything else as he got onto Lyden’s pass. However, we conceded again as Bihmoutine accidentally scored an own goal to potentially end their losing streak. However, Mowat than gifted Whittall with a poor back pass, allowing the striker to score his second of the game, much to my delight, for I had not expected such a wonderful gift. However, we conceded literally seconds afterwards, as Sinclair scored for them to make it 3-3. To make matters worse, McBain then put Eastleigh in front to make it 4-3, we had taken the lead 3 times and now found ourselves behind against the side that had lost 5 in a row. Could you imagine how livid I was at this point? The result ended up being a 4-3 win to Eastleigh and I was not happy, because of this we had dropped to 8th and we had now gone 4 games without a win, 3 of which were defeats.
Blue Square Premier – 16/10/12 Eastleigh 4 – 3 Bath Diop (17) Bihmoutine og (73), Sinclair (78), McBain (83) | Howarth (4), Whittall (61, 77) 18 Shots 9 8 On Target 6 56% Possession 44% 1 Yellow Cards 4 0 Red Cards 0 MoM – Sam Whittall (Bath)
We are currently the team with the 5th worse form in the league at the moment, that’s how bad it has gotten at the moment and things were not going to be made easier by the visit of Mansfield, who currently have the second best form in the league. After falling out of the playoffs, we are not currently 4 points away from breaking back into the playoffs, but thankfully 11 points clear of the relegation zone. The media agreed with me for they expected Mansfield to take us apart quite easily. The last thing I want to see in the next game now is to see a third straight defeat for the very first time under my reign. I’ve also never gone an entire month without winning either, so hopefully our FA Cup game against Newport would help with that.
I made some changes for this match, with Dean Bouzanis returning in goal after not being played on international duty, again. Christopher Jones replaced Jamie Lyden at right back and Alexander McQueen coming back from injury, only to replace a tired looking Alex Pritchard, while Andy Cook replaced Steven Howarth.
In the first half Jamie Cook was booked within 3 minutes for diving, as he tried to win a penalty, much to my annoyance. Abadaki then gave Mansfield the lead early on with a superb solo effort, putting us behind much to my frustration because of how bad the defending had been. Alexander McQueen then became injured on his return, so he had to be replaced. The first half ended as 1-0 to Mansfield. In the second half, Cook scored with a header from a Christopher Jones cross to make it 1-1, equalizing for us. Cook could have made it 2-1 had it not been for the deflection. Bouzanis stopped Briscoe from scoring by deflecting his shot onto the bar. Gethin Jones missed a chance to get us all three points late on. The match ended 1-1, though we could have grabbed all three points late on, shame we didn’t. We remained in 8th after that result and only 7 points off the top 3. Though we are now 5 games without a win, we nearly ended our streak without a win.
Blue Square Premier – 20/10/12 Bath 1 – 1 Mansfield Cook (50) | Abadaki (5) 16 Shots 9 4 On Target 2 56% Possession 44% 2 Yellow Cards 1 0 Red Cards 0 MoM – Godwin Abadaki (Mansfield)
Before our next match, I ended up holding a team meeting, the first that I have heard in some time, for I really haven’t needed to have one beforehand. I told them that I was keen to ensure that our head didn’t drop and that despite the fact things hadn’t been going our way, we had the ability within the squad to change our fortunes. The team reacted really well, with the veteran Alex Russell’s reaction being the best. However, against Newport County, a team that we had already beaten this season, we were not the favourites, in fact, Newport were considered the clear favourites for the win, this was more than a little bit annoying, but understandable, as Newport were at home and have now started to pick up form and have won 2 in a row.
We made some changes for the match, with Alex Pritchard replacing the yet again injured Alexander McQueen, while Marc Canham returned to the bench and Steven Howarth replaced Sam Whittall. While Mark Preece and Andre Carvalho-Landell also made an appearance on the bench thanks to the FA Cup rules
In the first half Newport were the side that had the most of the possession and for most part we were defending for our lives out there. However, the first half was really boring and finished 0-0. In the second half we finally fell behind thanks to a Kone header that even Bouzanis couldn’t stop. Pitchard had a great chance to score, but hit it straight at the goalkeeper, Desir, before at the over end Newport made it 2-0 thanks to Tertereau with a header as he was left unmarked by the Bath defence, leaving myself wondering what the hell was going on. Howarth missed a great chance to pull one back, not helping my mood, before missing an even better chance merely minutes later. Watkins however, did find the back of the net, pulling one back for us and allowing us to claw our way back into the game. However, it was not enough and Newport advanced to the 1st round of the FA Cup while we were eliminated from the competition.
Oh well, that just meant that we had less problems to worry about in the near future as far as I was concerned, even if I went an entire month without winning for the first time as a manager.
