	25 and Still Jobless – 2014-15 Season – A Thrilling Opener It was my first game in League 2 and like every Gateshead player and fan, I was hoping for a good start. However, with our first game of the season being against the recently relegated Crewe, so I knew that it would be a tough game for us. However, much to my surprise, we took the lead 4 times in this match with both Jordan Moore and Rob Moncur scoring braces on the day and we still won by two goals, even after Nicky Clark got sent off for a horrfic two-footed tackle. The fact that Rob Moncur scored two goals after coming on from the bench was more than a bit of a surprise, the young striker proved why he was considered a poacher when he put in two simple finishes in injury time, not only that, but he also had a lot of potential to go with it. So who knows? Perhaps he could be as good as Jordan Moore, who could be as good as a League 1 striker in the future. It is possible. It's a shock that nobody saw on the cards!" It was at this moment that I knew that I was going places. Barely a week into my career as a manager in the 4th tier of football, and I was already making a name for myself. The regional up the Tyne and Wear knew of me and my miracles. Sooner or later, I had a feeling that my services will be chased after by the top teams in the country. It excited me. That much was for sure. The sheer idea that some of the best clubs could soon be knocking on my door asking for me to be their manager. It really excited me, as much as I might try to deny it. “James! You have to look at this chart!” I blinked as my little sister, Jessica squealed out these words. I happened to be facing off against Swindon this week, so she could visit me in my hotel room, even if I tried to talk her out of it. “What is it Jessica? I was busy plotting my plans for the match tomorrow.” I grumbled out. “I typed in best known managers in your division and you happen to be the most well known!” Jessica told me happily, causing me to choke on my own spit as I processed this piece of information. “Also, people have been saying that you are the most likely going to be breaking the record of Andre Villas-Boas’ record of being the youngest manager in the Premier League!” “Let me see that!” I demanded, going over to her laptop that she had brought with her. It was true. I was the most well-known manager in League 2 right now. The chances of me going up to the top two tiers of football had dramatically increased now that my reputation had gone up even further than before. However, did I like the idea that I could be going up to the top two tiers without Gateshead? My loyal side of me said no, but my ambitious side of me said that if I had a chance, I should take it. However, either way, I would be asking my advisors whether or not I should move on when the time came. Just not yet, things were just going so quickly now, ever since I won the league and cup double at the end of last season. Was I moving forward too fast? 	25 and Still Jobless – 2014-15 Season – First Month Finally Over My first month in the Football League is finally over, and I feel that we are performing so much better than anyone actually thought that we would. Even if we have had been forced to come from 2 goals down twice away from home this season, and threw away a lead in our only home draw this season. I can still feel proud of the fact that we got to the second round of the League Cup and only lost by 2 goals instead of losing by 4-5 goals. However, I still have a few concerns, one of which is the lack of ability to win away from home and the slight issue that we always seems to be losing by 2 goals both times before we ended up rescuing a point. This leads up to my main concern at the moment, which is the amount of goals we have conceded this season already. If it wasn't for that fact that we had been scoring so many goals, I would say that we were in a spot of bother. Yet despite all of that, I can happily say that I feel that we will be in the league by the end of this season if we continue to play as well as we have been. A great start for me, seeing that both of my preferred clubs are currently in the top 7 places. Gillingham, my home club being 1st, while my side Gateshead being in 6th. In the Blue Square Premier, Bath are actually in 2nd place in their league, further increasing my belief that I helped build them up to be the brilliant side that they are now (in the Blue Square Premier anyway). Our next opponents are Yeovil, who were just beaten 3-0 by Gilligham in their last game. My local club won't be visiting us until October, so I have plenty of time to prepare for the future. I'm not going to go into too much detail, but let's just say, I am will not able to really concentrate on this story for a while because of what I've been told. I don't feel too well.
