I'm going to be changing the format a little bit, for an experiment you see, mostly to see if this will work or not, also to potentially see if it can help speed up the updates as well. Mostly because I actually want to completed the unemployment challenge and according to the game, I have spend 2 days 17 hours and 40 minutes playing on the single game for this story. I'm looking to speed things up a little bit by going through the months and using screen-shots instead of my plain old writing, like I did when I was looking for a job between leaving Bath and finding work at Gateshead, as well as the friendly month. 	25 and Still Jobless – October 2013 - Finally a Month Unbeaten I had a dream the night before our match with Nuneaton, I had a dream that we would end October without losing a game and being near the top of the form table in the league, if not the top of the form table. I knew that it was a dream because I knew that it was probably never going to happen with some of our opponents this month. However, with 20th placed Nuneaton being our opponents and the media declaring that we were the favourites for the match, I felt confident in our chances. We ended up winning 3-1 against Nuneaton to make a great start to the month, with Tom Nichols ending his goal drought of over ten hours, while Danny Pilkington scored his first goal of the season for the club, though admittedly we were lucky to have won by a 3-1 score line that lifted us up to 10th place. Our next opponents were Grimsby Town, who were expected to win at home against us quite comfortably, however, I still felt confident that we could get something out of this game. Much to everyone’s surprise we did get the win, thanks to 2 penalties from Jon Shaw in a 2-1 victory that lifted us up to 8th place just one point off the playoffs, even though yet again, people thought we were fortunate to win making it 3 wins on a bounce. Our next opponents were Fleetwood, a team that I have had no luck against, while they have had no luck in promotion, finishing in the top 3 in the last two seasons. This was made even juicier when realization came about that both sides were on a 3 match unbeaten run. However, in the end it finished off being 2-2, where we came back from 2-0 down to get the point thanks to Yemi Odubade and a Jon Shaw penalty, we remained in 8th, just 2 points off the playoffs, while Jon Shaw got his 50th league goal for Gateshead. This was also the very first time that I had not lost to Fleetwood as a manager. My next opponents were recently relegated Morecambe, where the home side were the favourites for the victory as they were lying in 4th place, right in the playoffs. However, we had a chance, for we were only 3 points off them in the table, and anything can happen in the world of football. Look at Manchester City for example. The match ended up being a 1-1 draw where we conceded a last-gasp equalizer at the bitter end, however, despite all of that, I was pleased with the performance that had seen us go up to 7th place, but 3 points off the playoff places. 2 points against 2 teams I was expecting to lose against was pretty good going in my eyes. Getting praised for changing my tactics was something I had not expected, but hey, I'll take what I can. I had literally forgotten that it was my 15th game in charge of Gateshead on the day, but oh well, I got what I wanted in the end. Before the next game, I managed to sign Greg Pearson on a free transfer as a left-back backup due to the fact that we only had one recognizable left-back in the team. During the week, we had fallen down to 9th, due to the fact that both Bath and Forest Green had won in the middle of the week, leading me to have just one question. WHY COULDN’T BATH PERFORM THIS WELL WHEN I WAS THEIR MANAGER?! Anyway, our next opponents were Barrow, a team that I have never lost to before, but have had some tight matches against. This was our last game of the month and I was desperate to prove that we could go an entire month unbeaten, since the media believe that we could as well. We won the match, with a penalty within injury time that was converted by Jon Shaw. I must admit it was cutting it a bit close, but it was a win nonetheless. With this we rose up to 8th place in the league, just 2 points off the playoffs. Seeing Bath loss 4-0 to Hereford as well made it that much more delightful. My record with Bath: P59 W26 D9 L24 GF79 GA74 GD+5 WR44% My record with Gateshead so far: P16 W8 D3 L5 GF24 GA23 GD+1 WR50% My record so far: P75 W34 D12 L29 GF103 GA97 GD+6 WR45% An unbeaten month, this was more than I was expecting, but nonetheless I am happy with it. Next month begins our journey in the FA Cup and hopefully we will find ourselves in the playoffs by the end of next month. 	Yeah I quite like the new format - means you will be able to update quicker. Top of the table will be a big ask though. Not impossible, but the BSP is a very tough league especially considering you inherited most of this squad.

	25 and Still Jobless – November 2013 - Cup Surprises It was a new month and being on a run of 6 games undefeated, I have to feel confident for our FA Cup tie against Carshalton, with just a win needed to achieve our target of getting to the 1st round of the FA Cup, I felt like we could end up doing better than expected in all competitions so far this season. It ended up being a comfortable victory in the end, no surprises there really. We were considered the favourites to begin with so winning 3-0 was to be expected. In the FA Cup 1st round draw, we were given a home tie against Cheltenham Town, should be interesting. Histon were a decent side, yes they had been relegated and then promoted back up to the division after a two year absence and now in 19th, but still, we couldn’t go easy on them because of their position (like many teams seemed to do against me when I was in charge of Bath). But the media predicted an easy win for us against Histon, so who knows? In the end we were comfortable winners, winning by 4-1 with most of the possession being in our favour, because of the win we found ourselves in 5th place, in the playoffs, still 6 points behind both Hereford and Fleetwood, but still within touching distance at this stage of the season. With a game against Havant & Waterlooville being our next opponents, the side that famously went 2-1 up at Liverpool, to lead the game twice. Honestly I wasn’t worried, the FA Cup and the league were completely different so I felt that there was nothing to really worry about at the moment, especially with our form coming together. The final result ended up being 2-1 to Gateshead with Shaw getting his 7th goal in his 8th league game of the year, while Odubade scored the winner. We remained in 5th, but were now only 3 points behind Fleetwood and goal difference behind Stockport. With the FA Cup game against Cheltenham being next on the cards, I knew that we didn’t have a great chance in winning, but we might as well give it a try I felt, besides, we could end up being in the same division as the League 2 side next year. Despite all of this, the media only made us the slight underdogs, so I couldn’t help but feel slightly confident about the game. In the end we drew 2-2 much to my surprise, thanks to a Jon Shaw double. We had a replay at Whaddon Road now in Cheltenham, something that I was both pleased and upset about. Happy we were still in the FA Cup, but upset that we had to worry about another game which could hurt he fitness of the players. If we were able to win against Cheltenham in the next game, we would find ourselves with a draw at Oxford United, who was in League 1. Our next opponents were Telford, who were also doing well in the league, but the media predicted that we would be able to get the victory today and with both teams being overachievers (Telford predicted to be in 20th but are in 7th and Gateshead predicted to be in 16 but are in 5th), it looked like a great game in prospect. The match ended up finishing 2-0 to Gateshead, leading us to go up to 4th place, now equal on points with both Stockport and Fleetwood and only 4 points behind Hereford. The FA cup replay against Cheltenham was next and I wasn’t that confident in getting the result, even though morale at the club was really high. The media predicted that Cheltenham were the clear favourites for the match, like I expected them to. The matched ended up being 3-3 after extra time, before we won 4-3 with Cheltenham missing 2 of their penalties. We had managed to shock Cheltenham at their own ground, how could I express my joy in words right now? We’re still in the FA Cup! We were now going to get our fixture at Oxford after all it would seem. Some other surprising results ... including one from my former club. The last game of the month was against 16th place Tamworth, who has also been doing well by their standards this season, even if they were relegated in my first season with Bath. Now that I’m with Gateshead, who has not only a pretty good squad for this division but one of the best stadiums of the division, it’s no surprise that we are as high as we are right now. I expected nothing less than a win right now against a team like Tamworth. The team didn’t disappoint and ended up winning 3-1 against the side, even with a much weaker selection. Yes we were down to 7th again, but we had a chance to go 5 points clear of Morecambe and be within 4 points of Hereford again with are game in hand, where we could actually find ourselves in 2nd place! What a birthday that would be. Apparently, I'm now a "Tactical Genius", according to the fans. While local boy Robert Ibrahim made his debut for the club. I will ask you now, is it a possibility for me to get promoted as CHAMPIONS? For I believe that it is, as do the players at the moment, especially when Jon Shaw is doing as well as he has been this season. In other news, my reputation has now gone up to Regional, meaning that my time in this division will soon be over. Though about Cheltenham ...
