With the release date of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron speedily approaching, High Moon Studios has blessedly bestowed upon us another of their fine trailers. Herein we get our first look at Fall of Cybertron's multiplayer action -- yes, pure gameplay bliss. The trailer also introduces some of the exciting features that go along with multiplayer, though being a hype trailer, we only get an illusory glance. For the full experience, we may well have to wait for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron's release date on Aug. 28.
During the trailer, High Moon reveals a few exciting new details about their game's multiplayer mode. First off, you'll be able to fully customize your very own Transformer for play in Fall of Cybertron's multiplayer mode. If you want to look like a boss, you can create an Optimus Prime; if you want to look like a stupid jerk, you can model your character after Starscream. Everybody wins!
Fall of Cybertron's 10 multiplayer maps were also quickly shown, each more beyond belief than the last. Of course, why create a Transformers game on Cybertron if you don't take advantage and create some amazing settings, right? My personal favorite, I think, is the junkyard looking map, because it stirs up memories of the Transformers G1 movie and the junk planet Junkion. The return of Escalation mode from War for Cybertron is also teased, so get excited about more co-op action.
Expect more and more trailers and news leading up to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron's release date on August 28. The Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 title is sure to be a hit whether you're a Transformers fan or or just want to fight robots over the Internet.
