I hate how when I'm building a deck, I always end up short one copy of a card I need, isn't rare, but is still run alot. Need one more Rancor for my god dang Jund deck and......well.

Could ya give me some tips as to teaching others? I might be teaching some people how to play over an extended period of time and, while I have a plan for teaching, I can use all the advice I can gain.

Honestly the best advice is to just play.

When I started my friend who taught me always won. But those losses teach you how to better your deck.

It would also help to have another player who knows how. You could also take them to a FNM and have them watch. That helps too.

I find explaining how to play doesn't help. They need to actually see it. They also need to get into it. That's why I'm glad Ravinca is back. The guild wars REALLY got people into it.

Yeah have them watch you play someone else that knows how and explain what is happening each time a card is played or whatever, then give them an easy deck like green and play several games with them.

Ironically, I recently found the remains of the Garruk duel deck a friend gave me a year ago and added a few things (mostly reach creatures) for those interested to play. Its better than the six other decks I'm making as dueling aids for them, that is for sure.
