Lack of story? try more of manners!?

hello Evil Waffles is here just to say and ask...wouldnt that be a statement? eh been like 5weeks or a month since i been on but ive been on that fancy sight siliconera? i belive just like that and i was reading up on MH4 nd shizz and saw alot of the same shyt! "monster hunter lacks the story" "no story hard to get into" whats up? killing a monster skinning it alive making its armor not good enough? cheap douche bags who cares fo story most stories now nd days suck or get F'd up! so whats the deal people?

Hm, I think games that focus on the gameplay can get away with a mediocre story, like Mario for example.

I want that game to be spectacular and have everything a game should have. A game would be boring if it had no story and a good store makes a game tolerable for more than an hour or two.

Knowing Capcom probably won't make Monster Hunter a story-oriented game, I'm fine with having little to no story.

Oh and there's a game similar to Monster Hunter in terms of gameplay, but it's very story-heavy. It's launching with the Vita, however it's name eludes me atm.

I've been playing monster hunter since it released on the ps2 back on 05 I think adding story elements to the game would just ruin it in my opinion monster hunter really didn't need a story line. Your a hunter that slays monsters as profession a profession enough said

If u want a story create a fan fiction with your idea, the fact that the mh universe is huge shows how hard story making for monster hunter is, they tried that in tri (not really) and all you had to show for it was + 5 hrs. Grinding for cedeus weapons and armor, what Capcom should do is let the players design there own monster, armor ect. And bring magaman back to its former glory!

Well I'm sure it'll involve that, but the premise of 4 is somewhat different from the usual MH fare. Instead of being the town's sole hunter, you're a nomad with a caravan who travels between multiple towns, as a result this game has the highest NPC count by far in MH history.

Presumably the story will revolve around helping the issues of the different townsfolk but capcom said that the first bit of the story is to become an official hunter of the guild.

It's releasing in japan this winter.

As for the story thing, I think this approach really works without pushing aside the core of the gameplay.

And it gets better. You take quests to travel between towns as well, aside from that it's all been fan speculation like the "Hylian Field" theory where you have a central town that's connected to the mojave plains inspired area that makes up the first map.

The first town is a bazaar based on northern china and the norse, it's home to the guild office where new hunters gather to obtain their hunting rights. The caravan shows an american old west inspiration.
