	So what are we generally discussing? I must admit I've been out of the loop FE wise since FE9. Lacking a Wii console I still haven't played FE10 and I've just not been bothered to get the DS FE. ------------------- Fire Emblem Awakening - You Want It.

	Well FE 10 is a bit of an odd ball. I mean, there are some huge balance issues. But I still enjoyed it. The two DS games released are kinda crappy remakes. This games though, It looks particularly interesting. ------------------- Fire Emblem 3DS!

	FE10 was my second Fire Emblem game and it probably ranks up there as one of my favorites. I just finished my second playthrough on it back in the summer. Never bothered with any of the DS games. ------------------- When You Go Astray, I'll Be There To Punch You Back!

	Oh, 7 and 9 all the way. Radiant Dawn had some nice ideas, but a lot of the execution was egregiously flawed. Too many characters, too much story fragmentation, too little balance, and the lack of characterization made it a step down from the rest of the series. The gameplay was a lot of fun, but the story... yeesh. By comparison, 7 and 9 had well-executed levels with some classic level design (Battle Before Dawn comes to mind) and coherent plots. 9 was the pinnacle of the support system, if not the pinnacle of support dialogue, and 7 was a great example of how to create a coherent cast of 20+. Hopefully this game retains the gameplay elements of 10 (not of Shadow Dragon) while returning to earlier storytelling techniques. -------------------

	Well I think a big hole Radiant Dawn fell into story wise was that this was basically a direct sequel. So they wanted to get everyone from before, while including a brand new full cast. So they over-saturated the cast, had to add a massive amount of extra story to try and explain everyone's involvement. The balance issues were annoying though. I still loved Radiant Dawn despite this. The massive number of characters just means that you can have more interesting playthroughs of the game using completely different characters than last time. Gameplay was great too. FE9 though, along with 7, are easily the two best. Though 5,6 and 8 are still decent despite some flaws. ------------------- Fire Emblem 3DS!

Supports were one of the most egregious offenders, but there were just way too many characters and not nearly enough time. Ike became bland, Micaiah's squad was almost entirely boring, and the CRKs just had absolutely no reason to be in the story. -------------------

	Couldnt agree more with the above post... They tried to cram wayyyyy too much into one story and one game. That just doesnt work with the way FE is set up. ------------------- Fire Emblem 3DS!

	In general a general discussion generally includes generalities about things in general. So in the interest of keeping things in a general nature I would really like to pick up this game.
