Should Waluigi be in? - Page 2

Roy has a good point, I could see Daisy added before Waluigi, at least she was in Super Mario Land.

Same with Rosalina, she was in both Mario Galaxy games.

What main Mario game did Waluigi appear in?

He couldn't even get a part in Super Mario 64 DS and Wario was put in that game, and too bad he wasn't because how rediculous that game was with the character swapping system, he would of fit perfectly.

Waluigi can't even be player two in Wario games.

Its like he was only created for spin offs.

Like I said if anything, I think Wario will get a Waluigi color scheme since he has the closest remblence to Waluigi.

Roy, don't expect Daisy because I think Daisy, Rosalina and Pauline being color schemes for Peach is the only way we're going to see them.

Its starting to look good for Bowser Jr's chances.

Tbh, I'm fine whether he gets in the game or not
I mean, I would obviously enjoy having more characters, but Waluigi doesn't really reach the spot where I really want to see him in the game as a playable character as much as others, since someone else already mentioned, he'd be just another moustache character.

However, if they'd give Waluigi a very unique character and move set as Wario, I'd really want him to be in the game

So, Daisy, Bowser Jr. and Waluigi, if they're not important why were they captains? If they were filler characters, why were they not on the secondary roster in Super Sluggers for example

Also, Waluigi was a boxer in a level of Game and Watch Gallery. He could also use the boxing gloves in one of his moves

How about we all settle on something we can agree on..DLC. If he's DLC people who find him obscure don;t buy him, people who want him can get him

Everyone and their mother got in Super Sluggers (cept Rosalina, that was a bit weird). But I'm not saying Waluigi should not be in. I'm just saying adding him ONLY to represent the spin-offs is a bad idea. Add him because he is popular and interesting.

I'd rather he keep his tennis racket and other sports items.

I'd buy him.

They'd basically have to give him moves that relate to the Mario sports games.

Even though I don't like Peach, her Daisy costume makes up for it, and I still use her, alot.

I think if both Waluigi and Daisy represent the mario spin off series, that would be better, but then again it could end up a waste of space if it kept other popular choices out.

I wouldn't like King K Rool not to make the cut because Waluigi and Daisy were added to rep the Mario Spin Off series.

Say what you want about Waluigi, but that's why I thought everyone agreed he could be DLC.

Anyway, I have to disagree about Daisy. Daisy's appearance in Super Mario Land helps. For example, one of her moves could involve the Sky Pop plane or power-ups and enemies from Super Mario Land. For example, hackers add her to Brawl and a Bomb omb is one of her moves. Instead, she could throw the Bombshell Koopa to reference Super Mario Land

The big issue with Waluigi is that he simply isn't important. He's been given so many opportunities to show that he's more than just a filler character and so far, Waluigi has never been able to surmount to much importance in the games and being a spin-off exclusive character really hurt his odds.

Sure he might have popularity, but then again, so does Bowser Jr., Toad and Paper Mario, meaning that popularity doesn't do much. A Mario rep could end up being overlooked and if Toad, Bowser Jr. and Paper Mario aren't deemed worthy by Sakurai, then I don't see how Waluigi will fare any better.

Look, its not just me. Waluigi has had a huge "get into Smash" fanbase. If he's popular, he's popular. The whole point of me saying he could be DLC was to wrap this up!

It is true that he does have a ton of popularity within the Smash community and I can't deny that. The thing is, popularity is literally all he's got for him and since he has to deal with Toad, Bowser Jr. and Paper Mario, I just don't see it being enough for him.

As for DLC, I doubt we will get them outside of maybe characters Sakurai planned, but scrapped. Waluigi is one of those characters that will either get in or he won't even be planned, so I don't see him as DLC.
