discussion Wii U--3DS Connectivity Thoughts

So this has been proposed before. What are your thoughts on connectivity between Nintendo's current handheld and soon to be console for Super Smash Bros. 4?

Personally I would like to see the ability to unlock certain characters if you have both a 3DS and Wii U. And maybe if you don't have both but your friend has a Wii U and you have a 3DS, you could use the 3DS to control your character at your friend's house.

I would also like to see the ability to see a live feed of a fight on your 3DS. So if you have a bunch of friends over, the ones who have to sit out for a fight can go to something else and still watch the fight.

I like the idea of a wireless connection between the Wii U and 3ds maybe just connect by switching to the Wii U's controller thing and then it can interact with a nearby 3ds version like and like Pokemon we'd be able to put 3ds characters on the Wii U roster and Wii U characters on the 3ds roster thus unlocking these certain characters in each version.

I think that someway you should be able to connect your Wii U and 3DS game if you have both so that you don't have to unlock all of the characters and re-do the story on both devices. I don't think that they could connect the 3DS and Wii U and that you would just have to get the Wii U version because it can make it complicated and would bring down sales of Wii U versions if you can just battle on 3DS on a TV but who knows?

Main idea? If you want friends to watch, I suggest getting a Wii U

I like the idea just how they do it is the concern, but sounds great. Maybe characters on one version that isn't on the other that you can pass to your buddy?
