I'm Dragoon and this will be my first Monster Hunter game. After the hype that Monster Hunter Tri got back in the day for Wii I thought I would give the series a go. Looking at videos on Youtube and the various promotional stuff being released for this game, it's gotten me quite excited haha. I look forward to being a part of this community, at last!

So, despite telling myself multiple times that I wasn't going to buy a Wii U just for monster hunter, I caved today and ordered one when I saw the premium pack on sale for £240!

Guess I can be considered something of a vet now, I've played:

MH Freedom 1,2 and unite
MHTri
and MHP3rd.

I was somewhat active on the forums back in the days of unite, tri and P3rd so some of you may remember me.

I'm sure I'll end up playing with some of the other European members here, I'm especially looking forward to playing with Narcissus and getting the terrible twosome back together! We did some pretty cool stuff back in the days of Tri.

I became a fan of the series after i played tri on the wii.

Hello everybody, Subtle here. I got interested in the Monster Hunter series after playing Unite. When I played Tri, my love for it really flourished. I can't wait for Tri G.

Hi, I'm MarioJr64. I became massive fan after playing Tri. I then bought MHFU and still play them both now, despite their age.

I have almost 1500 hours of MH playtime, so I consider myself pretty experienced, but not in an elitist type way. I use my knowledge to help others as much as I can, so if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.

I hope us fellow Neoseekers will one day be able to hunt together once again. March can't come soon enough!

Well, you're in luck because the Wii U addition will have local (between it and the 3DS versions) + online .

The save games are transferable between the 3DS and WiiU version, so you won't have to create separate save files. You can just transfer data back and forth and play at your leisure.

There might memory/processing problems involved. The 3DS can't be any more powerful than a cellphone and you don't see those with large scale multi-player games(cellphones aren't solely for playing games either)? That's just a theory of course, but it does make me wonder why Capcom wouldn't come out and say it was due to a technical limitation.

Then there's another theory that I have, they're both coming out at the same time here in the US. If both platforms had the online capabilities, what's the point in buying the WiiU version? It's only more expensive, and if you're like me you'd have to buy a whole new system. Using this logic, I'm assuming it has to do with a marketing scheme, so hunters will buy both (this is what I plan to do). <- this is the one I think is more likely to be the case.
