	Log in to remove this sponsored message Dragon Quest X gets Wii U Japan release date, beta planned Sean Ridgeley - Thursday, October 25, 2012 7:58am (PST) Like (1) +my favourites In a land far, far away MMORPG Dragon Quest X is still at Japan only status (at least for now), but hardcore fans should be interested to know the game has a Wii U release window: spring 2013, according to Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito, who spoke at Nintendo Direct recently. More than that, an open beta will be held in February. So, if nothing else, quite a bit of raw footage should show up online while you wait for the real thing to (hopefully) eventually make it to the Americas. For those wondering, there's not a huge difference in this version over the Wii version, though of course you get HD graphics, Wii U gamepad controls (including an option to use the thing like a keyboard). 	I've almost run out of hope waiting for a localization announcement, but ok. A little while longer. Going to imitate a broken record and state the obvious -- Toriyama's artsyle is freaking awesome. I can't wait to see this in action in hi-def. Though I'd still rather play it.. ------------------- 3051-1383-0822

	I play RPGs more than anything and by the looks of things, I won't be getting a Wii U for a long time. This is the only game i'm actually interested in at the moment. Man, they really screwed up their launch titles. 	Yeah. I didn't even want to buy a Wii U, but there's a 99% chance that I'll buy one just to play DQ X. Still, it'd be nice if DQ X was just on the PS3 because I already own that. And I'm a bit concerned about the Wii U's capability of handling an MMO. -------------------
