- There will be no female protagonist.
- (rumor) Mary is an inhabitant of the Velvet Room as indicated by her hat, bag and name.

Atlus confirmed that there will not be a female protagonist option, from the beginning of development the team wanted a male protagonist for Persona 4 unlike 3 which was decided later on.

This is why as a whole P3 has more of a feminine feel to it than P4 does.

You sure about that? I mean Elizabeth, Margaret and Theodore are already sorta English and they even renamed about 3 characters in Persona 1 when it was released for NA though they probably don't care anymore.

I wouldn't mind if they kept it Mari though.

On a side note, I read in an article on Siliconera that The Golden was originally intended for the PSP.

I was a little upset over the amount of time it took for a remake to be made but I'm actually really glad they decided to release it on the Vita since all of the features will still be intact from the PS2 version plus the extras that come with this remake.

There certainly seem to be a lot more anime cut-scenes.
And it looks like they all go out on scooters at some point in the game (during the summer holiday, by the looks of it).
It's now getting harder and harder to convince myself I'm not going to buy a Vita...
