Yeah going to play 3-4-2-1. Definately keeping Juan and Daniele De Rossi.

Perhaps we should make a list of recommended signings and sellings. Hopefully going to sell the massive reserve list. And sacking all the coaches.

juan is good, but his wages are killer. you can get players on par with juan who don't require such montrous wages

here's what i recommend

- extend de rossi's contract ASAP
- extend bertolacci's contract ASAP
- sell (in order of importance): barusso, lobont, cicinho, heinze, cassetti, simplicio, taddei, perrotta, pizarro, borriello, burdisso, juan

- wait until 1/2 season (12/30/2011), then start signing bosman players (recommended: bovo to replace burdisso, calderoni to replace heinze, paloschi to replace bojan, sanogo to replace borriello, candreva to replace perrotta, santacroce to replace cassetti, borini to replace taddei)

- wait until end of season, then give totti a new 1 year contract with a lower salary
- wait until end of season, sell osvaldo (his wages are too high)
- at end of season, sign kjaer for 8m (better than juan imo), but don't bother with gago or bojan

by doing so, this gave me a €30m budget in summer 2012, MUCH better than the €450k i was given initially to work with

schnix Kjaer was abysmal for me last time, don't really trust him anymore.

you should give him a second chance. he's 22, still very young for a CB, and he'll only cost €8m to keep after the loan. you won't find that many young CB's with potential at that price

Lost the first game to Parma 1 - 0 after dominating the game, not great but last time it was 3-0 to parma and we barely had the ball.

I give in. I'm just not meant to manage Roma.

I've tried 4 different saves with them this year with different signings and tactics and I'm always in the bottom half of the table and sacked by November. I can't work it out and two days of playing with Roma like this is starting to make me hate FM in general so I'm gonna stop this save.

This might just be me and not the game but it seems like there are severe flaws with Roma somehow

- No goals from any of the strikers on a consistent basis and these are decent players
- The defence just can't help but concede goals and is constantly on a rating below 7, one goal seems to destroy them and they drop for the rest of the game
- De Rossi seems really poor, no matter where or how I play him for Roma he is average at best, but for my Italy side he was absolute class.
- A lot of the players seem really average, more average than they actually are.
- Stekelenburg seems to stop nothing.
- Players that I have signed for other clubs who have been good or even great have been shocking for Roma, this includes Paloschi, Ongenda, Verratti, Vrsalko, Oliveira, Tsabalala, Rincon, Kara.

Anyway venting over and i'm fully aware that it is most likely just that I'm bad at this but I just can't get past it at the moment, my last save with them I won 3 league games, drew 2 and lost 10.

I've given it four attempts. I just can't buy a win, doesn't seem to matter what I do.

I really want to, I've had great Roma saves on previous FMs but I Dunno. Are you having any success.
