Who are in your favourite starting 11 in Football Manager 2012 and real life?
These don't have to be the best players you've worked with in terms of what level. League 2 or ANY player can be added. It doesn't have to just be players like Messi and Ronaldo.
The best team I've had in FM12 is.
Joe Hart
Kyle Walker-Sebastien Bassong-Stefan Stam-Leighton Baines
Harry Pell-Lassana Diarra
Joaquin-------------------------Jack Wilshere
Moussa Sow-Seydou Doumbia
- Hart - England and Hereford. He kept 32 clean sheets for my hereford team in his 2 seasons and I also won the World cup three times with him, once as captain. He kept 11 clean sheets in 21 World Cup games and scored the winning penalty in my 4-3 penalty win over the USA to get to the Final of Brazil 2014... With him at Hereford I've won 2 Premier Leagues, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, 1 Europa League, 1 Champions League, 1 Euro Super Cup and 3 Community Shields. And with him as my England goalie, we won 3 World Cups, 3 Euros and 3 Confederations Cups!
- K.Walker - England, Hereford and Everton. Walker scored the winner in the 2016 Euro Final vs France. It was 2-2 and he tapped in on a corner. He also scored a vital goal in my Premier League campaign with Hereford and the 2nd goal in a 3-2 win over Wolves in the FA Cup final.
- Sebastien Bassong - I always sign Bassong. Whether it be for backup or to into the first team. The only time I've used him as a starter was at Newcastle, and very recently in an incomplete 1st Everton season. He normally pulls out a 7-7.5 rating and is just a legend!
- Stefan Stam - Hereford. Captained me to League 2, and League 1 success with Hereford. A pure legend in my Hereford save. Such a legend my new stadium was named after him.
- Leighton Baines - England and Everton. After Ashley Cole reached his 100th cap in the Euro 2012 final, I decided to make Baines my main LB and leave Cole on the bench. This paid off immediately. Baines curled in a FK against Brazil in a friendly, then in Brazil at the World Cup in 2014 he scored a penalty in our 4-3 penalty win over USA. He also netted vs Holland, Samoa, Denmark and Scotland before France 2016. Where he scored twice. Baines also captained my Everton team from 2012 to 2017. In which we won multiple titles and cups.
- Harry Pell - Hereford. Pell was with me up until my first Premier League season. He was player of the season in season 1, where we won League 2. He then remained at the club the following season and got into the team of the year for League 1 as we stormed that devision. However he struggled in the Championship and found himself loaned out to Fleetwood. Then the following season he also went on loan to Fleetwood (feeder club), the 2nd season in the Championship was out last, and it proved to be Pell's last, as he secured a deal to join Fleetwood for free. Is now on the legends list.
- Lassana Diarra - Everton. Diarra is indestructible. He joined in 2012 January and also won multiple cups. In 2017 he scored the winning goal in the Champions League final. Which proved to be his final game. He joined Lyon for £2m a month later. But in his times he made countless last ditch tackles and was our 2014 player of the year.
- Joaquin - Everton. I only had Joaquin two years before he got a bit old. But signed for just £2.5 million in his first season he got 23 assists and 12 goals. His second season he got 31 assists and 9 goals. And that was just in the league. He was vice captain for the 2012/13 campaign and got the winner in the League cup final.
- Jack Wilshere - England and Hereford. WIlshere single handedly won us the World Cup 2018 final. We were 2-1 down with 15 minutes left. A partially injured Wilshere came on for Adam Johnson. He set up one goal and scored another with just 2 minutes left. And at Hereford he was just a legend. Made 3 team of the years in a row.
- Moussa Sow - Everton. In four seasons in the Premier League. Sow made 123 performances, scored 97 goals, and got 45 assists. His only injury came in pre season of 2013/14, and it lasted a week. He was, in credible, and only cost £10m.
- Seydou Doumbia - Everton and Hereford (loan). As Sow's striker partner Doumbia was partly to blame for Sow's performances. Doumbia had 7 seasons with me at Everton. He played 221 league games. Scoring 200 goals exactly. He also got 98 assists. 68 of those whilst Sow was at the club. He also had an average rating of 8.64... On loan at Hereford in the 2019/20 season, Doumbia made 25 appearances (23 starts) and scored 31 goals, with 13 assists. He was injured for 3 months but managed to fight back. We won the league, FA Cup , League Cup, Community Shield, Euro Super Cup and the Champions League. He only scored one final goal though.
And the best team in real life I think is...
-----Casillas
Alves-Pique-Vidic-Cole
------Y.Touré
---Iniesta--Ozil
RVP--Messi--Ronaldo
Casillas is undoubted.
Alves I feel is just better than Maicon, Walker, Richards and Ramos still.
Pique is just amazing.
Vidic has been injured recently, but without him, Man Utd are nothing, and that was proved.
Cole, as much as I ate him, was the best I've ever seen him at Euro 2012. And in the Champions League. Despite his penno miss vs Italy.
Pirlo is just simply stunning. But I changed it to Yaya Touré. Forgot about him!
Ozil is better than Xavi. Over the last two seasons he has more assists than Xavi and Iniesta combined. And Ozil actually runs about, instead of standing still. I mean, Xavi can't shoot or run. All he does is pass and cross and sometimes puts in a tackle which he normally mistimes and also dives.
We all know why Iniesta's in there.
van Persie, well his goals speak for themselves. Amazing, and he gets assists too! He's DENCHtastic.
Messi is the best in the world.
Ronaldo is just as good!
