Rangers have won 54 League Championships, more top-flight national championships than any other club in the world. They have won the Scottish League Cup 27 times – more than any other Scottish club – and the Scottish Cup 33 times. In 1961 Rangers reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, becoming the first British club to reach the final of a UEFA club competition. They won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1972, having been the runners-up in 1961 and 1967, and were runners-up in the 2008 UEFA Cup Final. An estimated 130,000 Rangers fans made the journey to Manchester, even though most of them did not have tickets for the match.

Key Players

In the game there are 4 key player who start off at the club. These four players are your Goalkeeper, Allan McGregor, your playmaker in Steven Davis, your guy who works and works in Steven Naismith and finally the man who you rely on to score and assist up top in Nikica Jelavic. If you want to dominate the league and go far in Europe you need to keep these players for a few seasons as you will have to spend 5M+ on signing their replacements. Davis is best used as an Advanced Playmaker in attack, Naismith can be used in many place on the pitch so wherever you used him he will do a job and Jelavic is best used as an Advanced Forward in attack.

Youngsters

In my opinion there are three younsters you can use in the team from the off. Those youngsters are centre Back Ross Perry, Left winger, Gregg Wylde and Centre Midfielder Jamie Ness. Keep a hold of these lads and these will be your future stars. Perry usually gets small bid put on him at the start, make sure you reject these as the lad has great stats. Ness can be a bit injury prone but if you can keep him fit he will force his way into the first 11 and dow brilliantly for you. Wylde is someone who i like in the game, he will always provide you with assists. I play him as a defensive winger in support and he is the joint top assister in the league.

Transfer Dealings

First off i would look at strengthening your front line. You get a 1.5M transfer budget. I would suggest staying in the SPL and going for either Jamie Murphy or Jonny Russell. Both are young and Scottish and can be bought for decent prices. I believe that you can buy Russell for cheaper than Murphy. Secondly is a bargain i found in Teko Modise. You can sign him for a measly 200k although he does command pretty high wages. He will make great profit and Villareal are after him in my game now. Another player i signed was James McFadden on a free. He does command high wages also but he can be a great back-up player or rotation players and again you can make some profit on him in the future. Now ill go onto possible loans that you can sign. Danny Wilson is someone you can sign to be back-up to your defence and also Romelu Lukaku can be signed on a loan and he can slot straight into the first team if needs be.

There are plenty players who you can offload for big sums of money to help you financially. First off you have a back-up keeper of top quality who is worth some dosh. You can sell Neil Alexander for around £1.5M. Onto the defenders you can get £2M+ for Kirk Broadfoot and he is someone who you dont really need. Then onto Sasa Papac, you dont really need him but he can be first team or can be a vital back-up. I never sold him, but he never gets a look in for me. Moving onto midfield you can sell Lee McCulloch as he is on 10k wage and you can sell him for 700k+. You can also sell Maurice Edu for 2M+
